When we win we’re lucky. When we lose we’re outclassed. Mike is a Leafs hater who landed this gig. He’s really transparent.

Leafs are a good team capable of doing damage. They're a team every team should be scared of losing points to.

Leafs got 18 shots. But they also hit posts, had dozens of shots go
Wide, missed empty nets. They could have easily scored 4-5 and won. Might actually be good lessons in such a loss. Third period the press taught them a lot, but in the first two periods the score could have easily have been reversed.

Marleau a B+????
Don’t know what games you have been watching MIB. He hasn’t be good by any measure, and not by the eye test either. I’ve watched every game and been to 5 in person. I like him and cheer for him, but he has not been good.

Can’t imagine what mark you will give Hainsey. He’s awful. Given the puck in his own zone he can’t clear it or make a pass. Always the
Stupid dump out and even that is often unsuccessful. Wasteful him playing with Morgan. He should be 6th or 7th D. PK mostly, and even that he isn’t as good at anymore.

Well 22pts in the past 13 games, top 5 in dmen scoring.
Guess he just needed time to get comfy.

If not for Rinne it would have been 4 or 5 nothing after 1st period, for the Leafs. Nashville played a
Smart game to compete with a dangerous Leafs lineup. The games the Leafs lose are mostly teams plugging up the neautral zone and slowing game down because they can’t skate with the Leafs. We need to find a way to deal with this practice.

As for Nylander. His contract demands, sitting out till the last minute, lack of performance, lack of effort, throwing Dubas under the bus by repeatedly saying, I was promised I wouldnt be traded, just really turns me off of this player. Then we put Kapi on the 3rd line and move Nylander up without earning it, is maddening. For me Nylander outstayed his welcome before he even laced the skates up this season. Not a fan. Keep Kapi. Dump Donna(prima) and get a D.

As far as outclassed ummm yeah ok. Goal called back and two-three more nearly went in. Could have been a totally different game and was only 2-0 till the last 2 min.

Your attempt at objectivity is nice, but in this case, misplaced. That was a 2-0 game that could have easily gone the other way. The Preds capitalized at the end when the Leafs went full riverboat gamble - but really, the Leafs had far better chances and far better possession for the first 2 periods. Their D was not bad at all, and aside from a few gaffes (that every team makes, let's not pretend no one else makes mistakes), they played a good game.

Rinne was good. The Preds D did a good job of pressuring and forcing mistakes, and minimizing second chances - but the Leafs did a good job of getting the chances; they just failed to execute.

Preds look like arguably the most complete team in the entire NHL, although Tampa is close.

Definitely more complete than the Leafs.

Jesus Christ. Would the odds be on the Preds in a series? Sure. A chance in hell? Abso(frank)inglutely the Leafs would. We're 2 points back of 3 teams and have anywhere from 2-4 games in hand.
If you watched the game, it was much closer than the score indicates.
If Nashville is the better team, they'd be higher up in the standings. That's literally how the points system works

this summer is when the Leafs are really going to dread signing Marleau to that contract. 35+ older contracts are the worst.
