You’re a bartender...you’ve said and heard it all.

I come on here to read the opinions of depressed suburban fathers and how they cling to a local hockey team. It’s helps me realize that’s not the life I want to live.

Instead this has turned into you being enormously annoying, stubborn, and forced. It’s just a hockey team in a dumpy city.

At least Beady knows he is off the rails, you’re a bartender that talks/types too much. You’re opinions are not insightful or creative. Why do you voluntarily come to a place where majority of people don’t value your words?

Harsh, but fair.

They only met in 2008 and 2011 in the semis, the US lost both 4-1. Did not play in 2005 at all.

The real interesting factoid will be next year, when Sweden loses its first pool play game in over a decade...and proceeds to win gold.

There are two guys named Steve in my circle of friends. Printer Steve is a printer.

Black Steve is an orthopedist but he’s humble and doesn’t like to be called “Doc”

I’m young enough to be the son of most of the posters on here sans Gerbe. Used to come here for rumours only and to lurk but it’s hard to find fellow Sabre fans to talk to in the heart of leafs nation. Not depressed, but addicted to all things sports but I guess it’s better then being addicted to other things

I am confused after back reading a bit.

Should the Sabres set out to control possession of tne puck tonight?
When they do possess the puck, should they try to generate more or less shots to score?
When they do shoot, either more or less; should they try from high danger areas, or just willy nilly fire it?
And lastly, when Sam is on the ice, should he look to Tip the puck, stop it and try to Beat thd Goalie himself, or wait for the Tap in?

I hope somebody is analysing the tightness of everyones skate laces tonight.

His 3 lowest goal totals correspond with his 3 lowest shot total seasons

210
159
235

When you say you expect 30-35 goals when playing with Eichel, and he would have scored 38 goals with 270 shots (his current pace) at his previous high of 14.4% I'm confused. 14.4% is 3% off his his average. If he reached his career high in shots at 280 and shot 14.4%, that's 40 goals. And that doesn't factor Eichel in at all.

I'd say shooting at 14-15% for 270-280 shots with Eichel would equal 40g. The stats say as much

- jcragcrumple

Again, you're only referencing his highest scoring season up until this year. He has only ever shot 14.4% once. The rest of the time he's averaged about 10%.

You can't just go "Well, he scored on 14% of his shots when he was 18, so that's the number I'm going to use and pretend the other 500 games he's played don't exist."

You can't just use the season when he shot 14.4% and pretend that's the norm when he also had years when he shot 8.2%, 8.7% and 7.7%

The season that best aligns with his career averages was 2015-2016 when he managed 28 goals and 51 points.

No doubt, I love talking about how desperate the Sabres need Nelson.

Other things are excellent once a year in a controlled environment.

His average is 11.4, and when he takes more shots, his average goes up. So if he continues on a 270 shot pace, we would expect him to shoot over that average, because that's what he does when he shoots more (with one outlier season - last year). Aside from last year, when he takes over 255 shots, his shooting percentage is above his career average. And it's not a sample size error. We have 8 years of data.

Of course he isn't going to shoot 21% forever, but considering he has shot 12% 13% and 14% it's stands to reason that with Eichel, and by taking 270-280 shots, he will be a consistent 40 scorer. The numbers show that
