as an over-50 guy, i'm feeling slow...like the weather
- Michael Pachla

Over 50 and slow, or not. You still keep giving us great content and a place to argue for 3 years straight about Ryan (frank)in O'Reilly. We appreciate ya.

I believe (but am not at all sure) that we need to make another move when Eichel gets back? Or are we copasetic
- jcragcrumple

You're right. Need to make a real move this time. Tough call for JB.

don't know, somebody take the lead on that one...my brain's fried right now...but I do think Wilson clearing and joining amerks might keep smith in buffalo

Yea, keep him down in Roch! Let 29 & 21 play every night, their production has been great!
Kid deserves a shot, came in stronger and is showing signs of maturity!

It's ok to let players watch from the bird nest once in a while.....(ex - Thompson - helped him find his game). 29 starts out on fire, but body slows down. Needs spot duty, not a every night player.

"The only players that didn't (register a point) were forwards Jason Pominville, Remi Elie and Zemgus Girgensons (who played in only one game) "

One is friends with Botterill, and the other should be waived. Keep Smith

- jcragcrumple

I went to the game last night:

Both sam and pommer played well.

Neither recorded a point.

Angry Larry and erod though..... awesome

I mean, considering he's a 21 year old top 10 pick in the AHL I'd like him to be at the very least be averaging a point a game down there, but any improvement is noteworthy at this point. The problem with Rochester is that we have prospects doing well but nobody is blowing the doors of the hinges in order to force a call up, including CJ Smith. At this point though CJ is the most consistent and the oldest of the bunch so I see why Botts wanted to see what he can do at the NHL level.

Does Ellie need to go through waivers?

He does need to go back down to the farm. Its not his time yet.

Keep CJ, Keep Pilut, both are playing well enough to get the opportunity.

I want to see Tage keep growing an working hard here also. He needs to make a new best friend and join Risto for his off season workout. Could you imagine Tage with about 10 to 15 pounds of muscle and that little bit of extra snarl Risto came into this year with?

I like what's going on with the youngins, must be patient. I know the 10 game win streak did not help the patience factor around here...but they are progressing. The original outlook for this year was to watch the team develop and fight for a playoff spot. I'm still trying to hold that as the goal. Do I want more? Abso-freaking-lutely! But I'm trying to keep myself in check too.

Time for Skinner to go back to Carolina and get a hattie!!

Erod played very well last night. Generated a lot of odd man chances. Not sure what buttons Housley pushed during the 1st intermission, but clearly they were the right ones.

Elie would require waivers, but worse. If we waive him, Dallas can reclaim him and send him down. I can't imagine them not doing that.

I've seen two live games and Nylander has looked good, but not overly impressive...smith was in that latter category...bailey looks like he's a tweener as in a man-amongst boys on many occasions, but just not enough that will get him into the nhl on a permanent basis...

wouldn't be surprised to see him be part of a trade

- Michael Pachla

Good point about Bailey.
I fully expect him to be moved in some deal at the deadline.

opinions vary, but he's still here, so JB might value him more than many here

You waive Hunwick and you lose a 3rd round pick. Ellie is ZERO loss to this team IMO.

CJ was on a tare before being called up. Went from like 7th on the team in points to 1st.

I don't think that's true though. They can send Hunwick down, they just can't trade him.

If the cost is a pick (even a third), I think you definitely waive Ellie and hope. Maybe they can send Hunwick down on conditioning assignment or something like that...other teams do it, why not us?
