Would Columbus take Jake back for Panarin knowing that they will not be able to sign Panarin and then hope Philly can sign him? Just a thought.
Jake and Wayne Train for Panarin?

Carter Hart was obviously great, but also saw signs of life from Nolan Patrick and JvR tonight.
Nice game all around.

That deek Patrick pulled at full speed was what you expect from a 2 overall pick. I expect he’ll impress after all.

Gonna be a tough season the rest of the way

But if we can get enough games like this from Hart I'm gonna feel good about our chances next year

So clearly here is the formula to beat us...other teams just need to be patient and wait for us to crack...geez...

"The Flyers typically come out strong and it’s a team that can score goals, they feel good about themselves and if they don’t score goals, they tend to not stick with the process sometimes."

Absolutely no way you trade both of those players for just one with zero guarantees

Always good when the opposing coach has his finger on the pulse of this team.

This should be painted on the wall in the locker room in 3 foot high letters.

yeah i just want to see the kids play well, especially Hart. The amount of grade A chances they didnt bury, it is who this team is and why they are where they are.

they can't even tank right

put JVR on PP1 already

Typically teams will ask for permission to speak to the players agent and try to get a handsake agreement in place before ever pulling the trigger on the trade.

Based on the reports around panarin I think he tests the market regardless. I think stone is more the type of guy who would sign long term before the market.

Agreed. If we could talk to Duchene, Stone, and Panarin and get some kind of idea whether they would be interested in resigning here then I would have no problem sending them Jake. Columbus should be looking to make "Hockey Trades" right now. Maybe get a goalie for Panarin and a forward for Bob.... Still make a run.

I would just blow his socks off and offer him 8 year at 9.25 million. If you trade Voracek that is only 1 million more then Jake.

I am not doing that trade even with a pending contract. You are trading our number 2 and number 5 points guys and 2 roster spots (on an already thin team) for 1 player. It makes no sense at all. Both Jake and Simmer are top end NHL talents with years left in them...you don't give them away for one player who is only 3 years younger...If Panarin was 23 or 24 ok, but you are looking at having to sign him well into his 30's to keep him here...just a bad hockey trade.

Lol he will get that somewhere with ease. Blowing his socks off would be 10-11+. Which is what he very would could get on the open market.

If panarin was a lock to re sign I absolutely positively would. Panarin is a way better player than Jake and from everything we've been led to believe is we wont re sign simmer. Trading for picks and prospects only gets you so far for so long. Another 1st wouldnt hurt us but it sure as hell wouldnt get as far next year as panarin would.

G Hughes panarin... I'm salivating on the speed that line could play with.. my God.

It's not really a revelation by Montgomery. Every Flyer fan has been watching that happen pretty much all season.

would agree if Simmer wasnt gone already, he is not being resigned, so they would not be giving him away

Ok, how about a a classic 3 way deal. To the Flyers Tarasenko, Panarin. To St Louis Bobrovsky, Conditional Columbus first (2020), Conditional Flyers 1st Flyers (2020). To Columbus Allen, Voracek, and Simmonds.
