Knowing what this team lacks , speed and any jam among 57 other things they lack, would much rather have rimaldo back.

When that trade happened, I did seriously consider the possibility of Ron Hextall being a wizard or sort sort of minor God-like entity.

Maybe not as big a steal as you think.
Rinaldo is still a role player in the league. The Flyers used that pick to take Kirill Ustimenko. Realistically what are the odds he ever plays a game for the Flyers.
