Rinaldo is still a role player in the league. The Flyers used that pick to take Kirill Ustimenko. Realistically what are the odds he ever plays a game for the Flyers.

Odds are that most guys picked after the 2nd round don't make it, but you stockpile picks so you improve your chances of hitting...Zac while fun to watch sometimes was not helping the team raise a cup (unfortunately no Flyers in the past 40 years have)...So to get a higher chance from a 3rd rounder vs a 6th or 7th which he was probably worth was wizards work as stated before.

Have to love a GM without an action bias.

This is a good deal for Weal and the Flyers. Weal gets a new shot and perhaps a better role to showcase the skills he does have. The Flyers get a late round draft pick and young defensemen for organizational depth.
