Solid 1st, not so much after. Hart was fantastic and the PK was very strong. Also it was nice to see JVR react to his 4th line demotion by playing with some drive and determination. |

Ok, how about a a classic 3 way deal. To the Flyers Tarasenko, Panarin. To St Louis Bobrovsky, Conditional Columbus first (2020), Conditional Flyers 1st Flyers (2020). To Columbus Allen, Voracek, and Simmonds. - youarewrong
Why would Columbus want Allen? If I were Jarmo, I’d be talking to Chicago about Crawford. Put Crawford behind a good team like Columbus and he’s a guy that can lead you to a Cup. |

Didn’t know that, but if so, then I’m talking to LA about Quick. There’s no way I’d want Allen backstopping my team for a playoff run. |

Korpi their guy? Still think Columbus may want more in that case |

Good call Bigg. His premise got my attention, but yes, Columbus would want a guy like Crawford if they are going for it. Lots of parts to make work. Guess that’s why multi team deals are seldom seen.
Been in FL taking care of my mother, so haven’t been on much. However, I do miss some of the twisted humor I get from this you guys.👍 |

It's not really a revelation by Montgomery. Every Flyer fan has been watching that happen pretty much all season. - MJL
True, but to have an opposing coach come right out and say it is not the norm. It's refreshing, though. lol |

So who was wearing #25 last night? Rarely see that jersey during a game but it showed up fairly frequently last night. |

I think Korpisalo could be their starter, but Allen could be a back-up in case scenario and could play better behind Columbus defense. |

Nice to get the 2 points. We still have huge, gaping holes...
Ghost is nowhere near what he was the past 2 seasons. Coots has to be bothered by his knee. Both lost races to loose pucks where they had better/quicker routes to the puck. But still got beaten. Provy is rushing (Russian??) when he gets the puck. Due to lack of confidence. I believe Weise is back to his old self (1st two season with Flyers). I feel like Simmer's limitations are being exposed as well. He can't carry the puck and/or create chances for himself.
Say it with me, Radko Gudas is currently our best defenseman...
Let's stop d1cking around and get a solid top pair guy in here for next season. Get the right mix of forwards and let's get moving in the Carter Hart era!!
Thank the Lord for Carter Hart! I know we were hoping he plays meaningful games with Phantoms down the stretch, but I'd keep him here. Let Lyon and Stolie get time in Lehigh. He is proving that he is NHL ready. Yes, he will be exposed with our group, but that will help the learning process. Once we get a healthy Elliott back let them split time so we don't overuse him in this worthless season. |

I don't know... They get a back-up veteran goalie, a very good point producer signed for many years, and a grinding PP presence all for 2 guys they lose in the summer and they still get to compete with those guys. |

I would make that trade if it included a condtional 3rd on both free agents resigning, moves to a second if simmer signs - wcorvette
Lmao, a couple thirds? Yea, how about no John. I wouldn't trade Jake for 10 third round picks. Anything outside of an early second has minimal chance of being an impactful NHL player. Thirds do not sweeten the deal. |

What are Columbus' options? They can either keep these guys try for a playoff run and lose them for nothing in the summer, or they can trade them to someone who wants rentals, but you don't get a lot for rentals and your not getting players that can contribute from someone else that's a buyer. In this deal you get Voracek long term, Allen is signed as a backup for a few years, and they could try and resign Simmonds. Maybe the Flyers send them a conditional 2nd if they dont resign Simmonds. |

Would Columbus take Jake back for Panarin knowing that they will not be able to sign Panarin and then hope Philly can sign him? Just a thought.
Jake and Wayne Train for Panarin? - Daceroni
Haha. How does trading Jake and Wayne for Panarin help the Flyers or Columbus? |

It clearly helps the Blue Jackets, you get a comparable player (slightly worse) with a contract rather than having basically an own rental. |

I know this horse has been beaten to a pulp. But I have a question for Bill or whom ever. Lebrun wrote an article in the Athletic today about Simmonds and Ferland as power forward rentals...The asking price for Ferland was a 1rst and a prospect and he expected Simmonds if made available to fetch more then that...He listed 4-5 teams that would have interest.... Perhaps we have under estimated his value? |

I don't think they're cool losing a top-3 goal, top-5 winger, and a 1st in exchange for a backup rental, a top-10 scoring winger, and a rental power forward. If you change their first to a second and include a second by Philly, you're probably closer. If think if they move just Bobrovsky, they could probably get a better return that a backup and a rental middle-6 winger without giving up any picks.
Of course, unless the Flyers can talk to Panarin prior to the trade and talk an extension, no reason for them to make the deal.
Also, unless St. Louis feels they're a contender, I doubt they'd want to move Tarasenko for a pick int he 20-30 and an additional first next year. |

If Fletcher can get something like an unprotected 1st, a B+ prospect, and a second rounder, I'd be pretty okay with that. |

Its never going to happen but could you imagine next year:
JVR-Giroux-Tarasenko
Panarin-Couturier-Konecny
Farabee-Patrick-Frost
Lindblom-Laughton-ABK
Provorov-Sanheim
Gudas-Ghost
Morin/Hagg-Myers
Hart
