So much fun trying to turn a wrench when you can't feel your fingers. Been there.
- Fenrir

I always seem to have some type of auto project in the winter. My favorite is slipping off a wrench and hitting the ground or the chassis.

It's a truck I want to get going for the winter since my new car was not the smartest choice since I live in the North East. I can't get the damn thing to crank (I think the starter is not well grounded and will be running a grounding wire), I'm about to light it on fire. At least it would make me warm for a few minutes if I did.

It would be nice to find another defensemen that is able to have a Girardi-like career with the Rangers.
- Pete V

Make it to the finals and then lose enough foot speed so that they buy him out?

he's somehow regained some speed this year, every single night on Tampa's top pairing

As nice as your Mustang is, reminds me of the guy stuck on a slight incline during the recent storm.
Solenoid test OK?

to think, we used to regularly win games 2-1 and complain about how much icetime Dan Girardi got

those were the days

New Rodent blog pretty much sums up our frustrations. About time he wrote something new!

I only drive .9 miles to work all on flat ground so it was too tempting not to get.

It appears to be fine. I even tried touching the starter positive cable to the positive terminal and it just sparks and does nothing. Starter is a reman and might be bad. I think there is a lack of grounding and there is not enough contact to run the starter under load. Bellhousing is also aluminum and I might be missing a ground strap that rotted etc.

I plan to run a wire from one of the starter bolts to the chassis/block. Starter spins and appears to work out of the vehicle.

Good idea. How old is this truck?
Wait. Less than a mile? Walk, you lazy sack of poop.

It really is the problem with being terrible. You can only talk about the trade deadline and the draft so much. I really don't want 5-6 years in the NHL wilderness so hopefully they can start turning this thing around next year.
- Pete V

I know money talks but why would someone like Panarin or Stone want to sign with us? There isn't much evidence this will turn around anytime soon.

1984 Bronco II.

I ripped the engine out back in 2013 and took it apart and put new gaskets and new timing gears etc in it. Painted it all nice and dropped it back in back in October I think. A vacation and the holidays have derailed the project and now it's cold.

I just saw this now.

I have thought about it but that would require waking up early enough to do so.

I agree. I have more important things to do like fight with a truck that doesn't run in 5 degree wind chill. I can't wait.
- JRR1285

5 degrees?!?!? Sounds like heaven.
Wind chill is -16 here right now.

I'm not used to it like you people are. I normally would have no issue with these temps back when I worked outside all day but now I'm in a cushy office job.

Edit: Fahrenheit or Celsius?

When he got that big deal I started to dislike him due to production issues.

I agree w/ article, but I think alot of play/mistakes is partly b/c many of these guys know they are gone in a few weeks, and no body on this team is safe. ONce it all shakes out, this season will end on a good note, w/ players actually focusing on the games and not where they will be playing a week/month from now.

Agreed. Rangers have to show FA's some promising growth to entice them to sign. Haven't seen anything this season to show we're on the upward trend.

Tough trying to find something positive to write about this season, Jan.

no spin, just the facts and my opinion. Call it as I see it, but agree, much more fun to write when they are good.

Nice! Had a full size 1980 Bronco with a 351M and a creeper 4 speed.
Having done all that work, grounding can be tricky. Good place to start.
