if they win game 7 vs Tampa, they go into the finals without McDonagh
it would have been some tall order to pull that off, Yandle probably plays 25 minutes a night at minimum, but they would have had home ice in the finals, something that would have helped vs the Kings - jimbro83
Missing Zucc as well. |

Right.
Why can't you people just use the same system as the rest of the (frank)ing planet??? |

Here's his on K'Andre Miller:
K’Andre Miller (Wisconsin/Yale): Miller had a bit of an uneven tournament and didn’t make as much of an impact offensively, but he also dealt with illness right in the middle. He even missed a game due to the apparent stomach flu that battered the Swedish lineup and caught a few of the U.S. players as well. Miller had one assist in the tournament and essentially played bottom pairing minutes throughout the tournament. That said, I thought he and Mattias Samuelsson got some key shifts in the final when the game was still in the balance. He defended very well in the tournament and handled the puck well for the most part. Miller is still just scratching the surface of his ability. His physical presence is getting more pronounced and I think he could be an absolute force in this tournament next year. If I was giving a letter grade for his performance, it’s probably a C+ or maybe a B- grading on the health curve. |

Seriously, Wife and I were discussing this with my buddy who is a Porsche/VW mechanic. 10 is an easy number and all of our vehicles are Japanese, so I guess I've already kinda converted. |

I'm not going to judge Miller on a tourney he was playing while sick. See what happens next time. |

My Bronco has an engine made in Germany and a Japanese transmission, all metric on most of that. It is sitting in an American built chassis and body that uses "standard" sizes. I have to switch back and forth constantly. |

Rick Nash has officially announced his retirement.
Obviously, one or two things I wish could have gone differently for him while he was here, but I remain a big fan and loved watching him play.
Edit: What a fantastic trade by Gorts!!!
2nd edit: Sorry, I just went back a few pages and saw that I missed this entire conversation! |

yep, looks like potentially a home run depending on how K'Andre Miller and Ryan Lindgren pan out

Been busy, saw the news on Vilardi and Nash. I was wrong about Vilardi. Can't be good if you're always hurt. As for Nash, hope he regains his healthy. That is all I have on the Nash front. |

How bad is it now? It would be hard to believe in any season during the Hank era at 2 games past the mid-season mark, that this franchise had only five "+" rated players, with the best rating being Hayes at a +6. The others are a +3 in Vesey and Claesson (the only d'man with a "+" rating), along with a +1 rating for Buch and Beleskey, (the latter however, in only 4 games played). Kreider and Fast follow with a "0" rating, along with Gettinger in his earlier 4 games stint.
Thirteen players, (including Spooner when formerly here earlier), are (-5) or lower after 43 games, with Zucc at rock bottom in being an unpredictable (-20) in just 30 total games played, projecting to a (-55) for a full 82 games season. Also, despite leading in points earned, Zibby is second lowest overall at (-15), while lowest on the back line is Skjei at (-9), whose two way game has suffered dramatically a great part since Lindy Ruff's arrival last season under A.V., when he played to a horrendous (-27) rating.
Dare I say Tom's "T" word, and his goal here since opening night, (and likely for "yearsss..." still to come)??? There's no control as to the level that "reward" could yield due to all their "competition" out there. However, the "playoff push" for this season is equally one's lifetime dream now as well. |
