How about Brossoit? Look at that record? My goodness, he is RFA, have we finally found our elusive backup? What does his next contract look like? Is there any reason you would not sign this guy to another contract on multiple years, 2 year deal? The guy just continues to play consistent even after sitting for weeks.

“Tanev” can also be replaced by “Myers”, “Chiarot”, or “Morrow”

Agree 100 and fifty thousand percent with your statement. Great article btw, pretty well nails every point about Tanev and his time and play in Wpg.

I would hate to see him go somewhere else and he ends up winning a cup there because he is a missing part of puzzle for a team that takes it over the top with his style of play at a very reasonable price.

Few things,
-I’ll be at the pint today.
-Comrie seems to have taken a step forward this year and may be ready for full time back up role next year, this also allows Berdin to play full time as Moose starter. What I’m saying is, if a team offers us a 2nd rounder for Brossoit or Comrie for that matter we take it in the summer and sign the other as backup.
- don’t over rate Tanev. He is having a good year, yes. But when he plays on 4th line away from guys like Perreault and Lowry, he looks like everyone else we’ve ever played there including Petan, Dano, Appleton, Lemieux and whoever else. The “biggest Mistake” Chevy can make is over paying bottom 6 guys who are easily replaceable. He might score 15 goals this year, that’s not rare for third line guys, let’s not exaggerate it.

Yeah, just some poor decisions, a step behind. Nothing unexpected I guess, but given the Jets right handed injuries I was hoping for a miracle call up! 🙃.....

Interesting to see Colorado fall hard in the standings. Teams have figured out how to neutralize what is essentially a one-line team ( Jets are definitely not a one-line team BTW). Anaheim winless in 10. Colorado and Anaheim are now giving teams like St. Louis, Minny , Edmonton, and Vancouver a sniff. Big gap now between the Nashville /Jets and the rest of the division. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the second half but a top two spot in our division looks pretty certain.

You've been preaching this type of negativity all year and yet the Jets are a top-four NHL team much the same as they were last year and despite several injuries to some key players. Since you have no idea about hockey, maybe its time you picked a new sport to be wrong at.

...and your " weak link " on the third line is fifth in Jets scoring despite playing on a checking line. This is a guy who you bashed and bashed while saying that Dano and Petan were infinitely better players . Tanev even has better numbers than Perreault in every measurable statistic. Tanev absolutely drives the bus on that 3rd line .

Nice late win by the Jets. Maurice puts the TLC line back together for one shift and they produce to tie the game after some nice work by Tanev. Chariot also continues to impress as he is relishing that extra ice time and showing he deserves it. Another guy we should resign as he is definitely trending higher.

Impressed by a couple of Anaheim players. Rowney and Hampus Lindholm both had exceptional games. Cogliano also played very well.

Real test comes Tuesday when we take on the red hot Vegas Golden Knights. Look forward to being there. I expect an epic battle.

Well, you attempted a burn there. I applaud the effort, but you’re more of a Roman Reigns than a John Cena here.

Tanev has been rolling lately, but even the most cursory of glances at his numbers away from Lowry will tell you everything you need to know. The guy is a WOWY nightmare
