If the Flyers get permission to talk to him and find that he’s very interested in being a Flyer why not wait for July and give up nothing in return? The Flyers need a 28-6-4 record to match last year’s point total ( not happening). Why would Stone want his new team to lose a bunch of picks/prospects/roster players to make themselves weaker in order to obtain him? |

No.
If Sens are going to sell trade Stone to a team their going to have to get MASSIVE return. I do agree that they should go to teams that can resign them.
But what are the Sens going to do with a Voraek aged 30-35. They would have to flip him again in the summer and try and get good return. They want prospects. I'd have to think Frost or Farabee would be coming back the other way - AlfieisKing
If I'm the Flyers I have to talk to Stone about an extension first, find out what he is looking for then offer a little bit more to sign him in the offseason. Win-Win for all. |

It's easy if your Dorion.....call PIT, PHI, EDM, CAL, WPG, TB......every other team in the league and say you got Dzingel, Duchene, and Stone ready to be shipped out. The team that gives the best return gets them; make me offers. What do you think if your Hextall and you see Rutherford close to adding Stone (likely resigning him) with Crosby? Or other way around and you can see Duchene AND/or Stone playing on a line with Giroux (beyond 1 year). It will change the landscape of the conference |

Guys like Stone and Duchene don't become available for a reason; that's why a guy like Tavares (with all due respect, no trophies AT ALL) gets 11m per year |

Probably the best risk you can take, if I am the Flyers and I got lots of money to spend in the offseason (those other teams dont have the money I do), then I wait to offer more than others in the offseason or watch division teams dismantle their teams to fit one player in. It's a pretty good risk to take. |

Why are they buyers? Holy crap that organization is an absolute mess. - BeadyEyedDouche
Let me help you out... WAS a mess with Hextall's mindset ! Organization with no prospects, capped out and no fan support is a mess. You're obviously not paying attention too the flyers organization much |

Probably the best I would go for UFA Stone
Jay O'Brien
Noah Cates
Robert Hagg
Whatever Simmonds brings back in trade (Maybe a late 2019 1st and maybe a 2nd) |

If it's a first for a power forward that can crash the net and add toughness to a roster that desperately needs it *ahem*...I dunno, if you think that can tip you into SCF territory then I wouldn't be upset about it... |

Probably more than I would pay, I value Simmonds as a 2nd round pick.
I still expect the price to be a conditional 1st and a conditional 2nd (the condition on the first-rounder being how far team goes in playoffs, the condition on the 2nd rounder being whether he re-signs with that team). That is, unless there is a bidding war among teams he'd be willing to go to under his partial no-trade. Then the price goes up.
One thing that works in Flyers favor here, though, is that his cap hit on his current deal is very team-friendly. - bmeltzer
I would say with normal demand somewhere in between the two. |

Demand won't be normal though. Teams gearing up to take on Tampa will want to add. I can definitely see him costing at least a 1st. |

If Quick gets traded, I think Philly is the spot to go.
I think a trade similar to the R. Miller to STL
Would get it done. |

So Stone manages to get himself to UFA status to escape a losing team so he can quiclkly jump to a team that has been worse in recent memory? |

Some of the most stupid trade proposals I have ever witnessed going on in this thread. As a Flyers fan i want absolutely nothing to do with Quick and his contract at this point in his career whatsoever. |

That’s cool. You can settle for Bob. Who can’t do poop in the playoffs and will have a more ridiculous contract.
Your hope is that hart doesn’t get screwed with and keeps up his good play |
