If Quick gets traded, I think Philly is the spot to go.

I think a trade similar to the R. Miller to STL
Would get it done.

So Stone manages to get himself to UFA status to escape a losing team so he can quiclkly jump to a team that has been worse in recent memory?

That’s cool. You can settle for Bob. Who can’t do poop in the playoffs and will have a more ridiculous contract.

Your hope is that hart doesn’t get screwed with and keeps up his good play

- KINGS67

lol I dont want Bob at all at 6yrs 10 mill or whatever bullpoop that's going to be. Hart is the future and I'll gladly take a vet in offseason to backup/mentor Hart on a 2 year deal but I dont need these guys with a ton of years, hard pass.

I'll take Stone if they take Voracek, Simmonds and toss in a prospect type deal, as long as Flyers think they get him locked up, sure. If not ill give ya a shout in offseason.

I'm trying to Lose for Hughes here not buyers at all. If they toss Craig in for that too then ok sure with a year left.

It's 20 degrees in Philly. Stone and Anderson aren't putting asses in that arena anymore than they are now. Having people layer up with $25 to park for those guys

This better be Eklund bullpoop.

Some of the most stupid trade proposals I have ever witnessed going on in this thread. As a Flyers fan i want absolutely nothing to do with Quick and his contract at this point in his career whatsoever.
- flyer_mike

Agreed. There are no current options available right now that are more than just an overpriced stop gap that keep the Flyers in the same position they are now.

Just fans doing their best sales job to unload things that aren't good enough for them, but incredible for others somehow.

The truth hurts and what you say is 100% true.

Although as bad as it is with Philly right now they still have a big market, tons of cap space, willing to overpay and still have a solid core and prospects. The same can not be said about Ottawa.

Yeah try way more than that.

Not only did miller get a roster player or two he fetched a 1st and a 3rd.

I’m fine with keeping quick. I think the kings are better off keeping him and mentoring Cal Petersen. Unless they get blown away with an offer he’s staying put

Yeah, but here's the problem in your situation. I am assuming you looked for a goaltender who fit the age and stats of Quick to fit the asking price, the biggest issue is how many years ago did Miller get traded to STL? You want a more realistic comparison from just 3 years ago...

Use Ben Bishop.

Here’s a trade: (Keep in mind I’m no fan of either team ... but here goes)

Flyers get:
Stone
Anderson
Dzingel

Senators get:
2019 1st round pick- top five protected
2020 2nd round pick that becomes a 1st if Stone extends.
2019 3rd round pick whichever is lower (PHILLY/NJ)
Sanheim
Morgan Frost
Andrew MacDonald
And Neuvirth or Elliott whoever isn’t super injured whatever

If Philly gets a top 5 pick and Stone extends then Ottawa gets 1st round picks in 2020 and 2021.

So basically 4 1st round picks for Stone...rather offer sheet Matthews for that

I’ve thought about but if the kings are looking to trade quick I doubt it’ll be for 1 draft pick.

EDIT. miller was 34 when he was traded. He’s 38 now. Quick is 32

Wishful thinking, but if a team trades that for him they better look at him as the clear cut all-star starter for the rest of his term.

You can offer sheet Matthews but Leafs match it all day. It’s a huge trade but the Flyers get a bunch in return. They can afford the picks and prospects. Still have Farabee and O’Brien on the way. It would likely save their season.

Miller was 34 when he was traded so that trade is still in the ball park.

Don't care who matches or if it would ever happen...the point is if you are giving up that many 1st rounders it better be for a top 3 player in the league.

Also save season for what? The Flyers are without question out of the playoff picture, there is no maybe turn it around for them this year. By the end of the month they would basically have to win out the remaining games to just have a chance at the playoffs.

Now if the Flyers were on the bubble of the playoffs, maybe desperation sinks in. There is no desperation for the Flyers this year, this is just cleanup time for next year.

Not talking about just the flyers. I’m saying in general there are some stupid wealing and dealing.

For instance when the idiot Kings thought it was a good idea to go and get Sekera. 1st and McKowen 🙄

Agreed, but that is also why you see so many insane trade proposals because people use the bad deals as benchmarks. If you look at most TDL trade history that is why you don't see all these spectacular trade rumors you hear about.

I mean if that was the case I would say Robert Hagg for William Nylander is fair...Luke Schenn for JvR....Larsson for Hall. Obviously that is what it takes to get a Hagg then right?

Lololol when the f*ck did Mark Stone become Nikita Kucherov?

There is no way in hell I give up any of that for an impending FA. Nice player and I like him but no way. Flyers aren’t trying to save their season as a bottom 5 team right now. Stop letting Eklund stir this bullpoop up.

It would load them up for next season. You make a solid argument. I’ll amend:

Sens get:
2020 1st round pick
2019 2nd round pick
Philippe Myers
Andrew MacDonald

Flyers get Stone
