Especially Lindholm. Hes lighting it up with Gaudreau and Monahan.
He already has a career high in points and still has just shy of half a season left to go. |

Looks like no Mo at the ASG
https://www.nhl.com/news/...c-303786452?tid=277549086
Also, where's this news on Freddy, by all accounts I've read he's good to go Sat.
For some reason Babs isn't answering my txts. - Junot51
Yeah, looks like the leading points getter on defense and (I'd assume) the current favorite for the Norris, isn't even invited to the ASG. What a load of crap.
I think the ASG is a waste of time really, but them not having Rielly there just lowers my already low opinion of the event. |

The ASG would be better if they invited the best players, instead of having one from every team. That's horsepoop.
They also need to play for something. I realize that it doesn't work in the NHL, but I like what MLB does. The winner of the ASG in baseball gets home field advantage in the World Series. That makes the players play for something tangible since at least some of those players are going to be in the World Series.
Perhaps the NHL could play for charity? The captains of the Atlantic and Pacific squads select a charity, and the winning team gets a cool $1 Million donation? That would at least make it interesting for both the players and the fans. |

Just noticed Zaitsev has 44 giveaways and only 5 takeaways on the year. Yikes! - LeafGuy89
All those times he clears the puck off the glass into our end of the neutral zone. Right onto an opposition stick. |

The owners wouldn't go for that. It's a good idea to give the winning conference home ice advantage during the final, but players trying means they run the risk of getting injured and I don't think the owners will take that chance. |

That's why I suggested the idea of charity.
That being said, how many MLB players get injured during their ASG? You're statistically far more likely to get injured in MLB than you are in the NHL. |

A KFC leg that I didn't completely clean, might have been left outside of the green bag... and I am not sure I completely closed the lid on the bin. It is a shame I don't have the energy to go double check. |

You're saying the All Star game would be better if they didn't have the All Star game? If it didn't exist at all?
Hmm. Agreed.
As for the idea every team needs to be represented, it's dumb. It's like giving out participation ribbons or something. If your team is so poopty you have no players deserving of an all star appearance, then tough luck. No one wants to see an "all star game" made up of a bunch of average at best players. We want to see the living legends and the absolute best the league has to offer.
'Member when Komarov was an all star? I 'member. |
