Not an anti-Allen post...
but do u think AB would be happy with him as his QB?

I think AB is still an amazing WR
But i wonder if he’s the right “fit” for us?

Depends on what he’d cost too
I’m sure there’s a bunch of teams interested

- jdfitz77

I think having a QB like Allen (who I think is a mix between Big Ben and Cam) a WR like Antonio Brown would be huge for Allen.

Would Brown be happy with him? I’m not sure. He would go to a team where there is no doubt who the number 1 WR is.

I know there will be tons of teams interested however not many can handle his cap hit.

I wouldn’t give up a 1st for him but I would send a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year.

That Brind'amour quote was from when Skinner was traded. What the hell is he supposed to say?
- BINGO!

"We all wish Jeff well, but we thought it best for both sides to get a fresh start"

Or

"I think it sends a message what kind of Hurricane we're looking for"

Which one would you pick?

Wow, you guys really do argue about the same stuff every day. Erod is a better player than Pommer because he is 25 and Pommer is 36, reverse that and that is why Pommer is the better leader. Erod is still finding his game at the NHL level, Patience is a virtue, He serves many roles, he has the ability to play all 3 forward spots, kills penalties, can also play the PP, He is thought of very highly for his Hockey IQ, and let's not forget that Pommer had some dumb luck on his side because Buffalo waived him and Florida was going to claim him, but didn't because we shared the same farm team, Pommer started the season in Rochester hot, was called up and the rest as they say is History. I'm sure if the time comes when someone comes along that brings more to the table than Erod, GMJB will move on. That guy is currently not Smith, maybe next year but not yet. Elie wasn't kept over Wilson, Wilson was sent down to get in game shape and when that happens he may come back or he might stay in Rochester and be an over paid in AHL terms veteran for the team that is having a great season and can use a good solid veteran to help those young kids out also.

E-Rod and hockey IQ?!

Yeah I don’t agree with you there.

Yeah he definitely worded it a way to let people know they were frustrated with Skinner.

He’s impressed me the past few games Eichel has been out. I have softened my stance on him considerably.

I think it would be huge for Allen
But i think going from Big Ben, to an unproven QB like Allen, might not be what AB is looking for
And with the style of offense we run (whatever that is), AB isn’t gonna get the stats he’s used to

I just wonder if he’d be happy here

And I’d think at this point,
winning would be the priority
So he’d probably want a better team than us too

Two 2nds sound about right though
And i love him as a player
Just concerned about the other stuff

Seems to be too much of a head case. Not sure I want him to be honest. He is a great player, if he landed here I wouldn't hate it. Just not a fan of what I've read, skipping that practice before a must win game, previous stunts...not good.

I think giving a full offseason and the work ethic he has (plus with Barkley and Anderson helping him) the playbook will open up substantially.

I mean Stevie Johnson put up multiple 1000 yard seasons with Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Giving Allen an all pro weapon like Brown I’m sure he get him the ball.

As far as the other stuff I mean I’m sure there’s something there. But how much and who is to blame for it all? I’ll defer to the GMs there.

The second. Because that was the message that everyone was trying to push. I don't like it, but that was the narrative the organization was running and they had just spent a week or two talking about how Jeff hadn't been held accountable when he was younger, so there we are.

They were already too far down that path. It wasn't anything new at that point.

I hear ya
Just think it’s a concern as to whether or not AB would embrace what’s going on here
Or continue to cause issues

Should be able to pick a decent WR in the 2nd, and even 3rd in this year’s draft

Rookie WRs rarely have an impact right away.

I mean I’m not saying I 100% want Brown but it’s something that should be looked at.

I don't think it needed to be said. It was just the same thing they had been pumping out for weeks at that point. Rod was trying to stay "on message."

I think the message was utter horsepoop, but that's what they had been running with up to that point and it wasn't going to change.

Yet they’re keeping Shady?

I mean you’d be awfully foolish to think they won’t bring in players with talent that don’t fit their exact mold.
