Rule 28 Misconduct Penalties

In the event of "MISCONDUCT" penalties to any players except the goalkeeper, the players shall be ruled off the ice for a period of ten (10) minutes each. A substitute player is permitted permitted to immediately replace a player serving a misconduct penalty. A player whose misconduct penalty has expired shall remain in the penalty box until the next stoppage of play.

- Hunkulese

I think his point was it should have been a penalty...Panthers already had a guy in the box at the time of the incident. Mony scoring shouldn't negate both penalties.

Anyway another win...17 points up on the Oilers

Wtf was with the end of that game? Yandle 2 hand slashes and gets ejected, Huberdeau gets an unsportsman and gets ejected, but there’s no powerplay out of it to the Flames?
If that had been the Flames it would have been a 5 on 3, as well as players ejected.

- ScotsonFire

No clue how Yandle didn't get called on the slash.

It was the right call. He whacked his stick well after he shot the puck. Cut and dry unsportsmanlike. There's no referee conspiracy against the Flames.

It should have been at least a penalty plus ejection. It’s one thing to slash someone. It’s another to take a two handed over hand swing with a stick.
I’m fine with Huberdeau getting the ejection and no penalty from it, but that Yandle slash was bad.

Some donkey on EK's blog proposed this trade for the Flames to get Stone from the Sen's.

M*A*S*H's offer:
Calgary - Stone, Dzingel, 2019 3rd round pick and 2019 7th round
Ottawa - Bennett, Backlund, Frolik, 2019 1st round pick and 2019 4th round.
conditional 2019 2nd round pick included if Stone re-signs

Like wow let's trade two players from our second line and Bennett who is starting to find his stride.

(frank)ing stupid.

The only trade Ottawa should be making right now is either for a prospect to partner with Chucky on the top line in a couple of years, or get back their prospect capital that Dorion pissed away in trading for Duchene.

Please tell me you are joking with Smith in net tomorrow? Maybe Smith will catch lightning in a bottle and turn things around, but I think his confidence is broken.

Makes sense, he needs a start, former team, Rittich probably could use a night off. Smith needs to show he can still play and this is a very winnable game.

No unless its a rental... now take this with a grain of salt but Sportsnet is saying they expect Ferland to ask for a Tom Wilson type contract. We have this guy, oh whats his name, oh ya Tkachuk thats going to need a contract and IS going to get paid! We can't afford a Ferland at that kind of money. Its the big reason he was included in the trade to begin with. Love to see it happen but nope...

Probably depends if they’re still in the playoff picture come trade deadline. Doesn’t sound like they’re going to resign him so if they’re not in the picture I think the price goes down a lot. Be hard to pry him out of a playoff team.
