There isn't a whole lot of comparable contracts for him. If he wanted a 6 year deal I might figure about 3.75-4.15 AAV.

First of all, “last season”, not this season. Second of all, that’s the point. Put the best 4th line C on the Canucks and he’s just average. Take the worst 4th line C in the league and put him on the Caps and he’s decent. It’s all about context.
