Has anybody ever mentioned the cool move Skinner does when entering the opponents zone ? It's like a little figure skating pirouette ?? Love that move ... and defensemen don't know how to play it. He seems to be mocked for his figure skating background, but I believe it really helps !

He's been .910% with a 2.6 gga over this stretch of 8 games, which is below what he is on average (.915), but by no means terrible

"Mohawk" stride! I had a coach growing up who used to have us do stuff like that when doing edge drills. Power skating coaches teach it too. Tage tried it against NJ.

By Hutton or bad bounces? I'd Like him to have the first goal but other than that you cannot fault him.

most of his other numbers have normalized. his Sv% will naturally fluctuate a bit but in general this is who he is.

occasionally he'll steal some games, cost you some games, make a big save, give up a head scratcher and the rest he'll just be average.

In other words, he'll be the product of the blue line in front of him. Its not by accident that his best weeks came at a time where we were somewhere in the top 10 in team defensive numbers and have dipped now that we're 17th/18th.

It just seems like one of those games we aren't supposed to win....and then we show up after a bad loss and (frank)in blow the doors off the place

Sabres fans have been so spoiled with goaltending for a good deal of the last 30 years that when they get an average guy they think he sucks, like doesn't belong in the league sucks. Or even a good goalie(Miller) that gets compared to maybe the best ever and comes in pretty much right after he leaves. That's a tough act to follow.
