Goldy's fighting is nothing to get excited about. I know his faults , I like his toughness in front and behind the net.

I honestly don't know how much toughness is required in todays NHL. You have Wilson Reaves and then who is the next in line?

If guys take care of themselves then you don't need to waste roster spots . I would like an aggressive hard checker though. A guy like Brandon Tanev . I do like Roussel

I find JD Burke very annoying but he did have a funny tweet today.

There was a tweet about Oilers looking for a forward . He tweeted I feel Taylor Hall may be a good fit

Has there been a bigger top 5 bust in the past 10 years than Puljujarvi? Dal Colle?

Rewatching the goals from last night, I really like that Hutton goal. Stecher was obviously thrilled his plan worked, and it's funny you can see both of them celebrate in almost the exact same way after it went in.

The Yak would be a bigger disappointment I would think.

Nah - IMO his career hasn't truly started. He would've been in the nHL at some point this year if he hadn't gotten injured. So let's see what his numbers are like by game 75.

Fighting is on it's way out in the NHL not much anyone can do about that.

It's the 'brand' of toughness we display and lack that bothers me.

Now that might change a bit over time but play as a team and back each other up and all will be good.

Like I said twice liberties have been taken with Petey and it took Guddy over two months to fight a guy on FLA that wasn't even Matheson.

If we don't start handling certain situations on point as they happen Petey will be out every 6 weeks. Can't have that. And it takes more than Bo just slashing Matheson's stick out of his hand too.

Yak should've been drafted around 10th - he had a decent 1st year but for a 1O he's pretty brutal but Griffen Reinhart right behind him, am i right?

Was he supposed to fly to Florida earlier, on his own time, drive to Mathesons house and ring the doorbell? Hey man, wanna fight?

As per Vantels comment about OJ being close to a bust. I don’t think this is the case his development has been halted in numerous cases due to injury. Kid has had a rough go and injuries that he has had really sets you back. I feel for the kid. If he can come back to camp healthy he has a chance of making the team mid season depending as a call up. I can give him some extra leeway.

$hit needs to go down at the time of the incident not two months later. I hate retribution carry over BS.

Numerous guys asked Matheson to dance he declined them all. That says more about him than it does about us as a team. I bet his teammates took note of that also.

Not to burst you're bubble but OJ is right on track for a defensemen drafted where he was drafted. To many times it's necessary to make the nhl immediately or be called a bust. Look at how Ekblad has plateaued after being a beast in his d1 season. Just because it takes a couple years to make it doesn't make them a bust.

OJ was tracking great in the AHL before his injury.

Makes sense for someone who has been mentored by Salo, OJ can probably identify all the different kinds of snakes as well.
