Everything that I said made logical sense.

1. Nylander gets signed for a 7 milllion AAV contract.
2. His play declined massively (while playing with some of the best players in the world).
3. Therefore his value declined.
4. A one for one trade that only includes Nylander and a top defensive player seems unreasonable at this time.

Nothing about that is idiotic...

It is possible for Nylander to have a bounceback season. In fact, I do believe he will. But facts are facts. No need to be a sensitive snowflake.
