He can’t sign an extension with us until the summer, he is signed through the end of next season. I wouldn’t worry about trading Hall until the start of next season. If we haven’t made any moves to improve and we still suck and he doesn’t seem inclined to sign an extension, then you start thinking about trading him.

In the offseason, should Shero not target and big FA's, would it be worth going for Bobby Ryan, asking the Sens to retain 1M cap? At 6.25M, the former 2nd overall pick who has 533 points in 774 games would bring some secondary scoring (at least far more than Noeson as our current 2RW), while having just 3 seasons to play out of his contract. We need scoring, and have what would likely be considered the worst offensive depth in the league. Something has to happen.

I'm actually a little interested in seeing Bastian. Binghamton has been a black hole for just about everyone sent there but he had a pretty decent juniors career.

Maybe a Seney-Boyle-Bastian 4th line. Time to start making some dumps and bring in McLeod, Bastian, Quenneville, etc. Couldn't possibly hurt their development anymore than playing in Binghamton is.
