The Flyers are definitely buyers. Whether the organization will admit it or not, Hextall has done a masterful job of stocking the team and the farm system with young talent. It's time for phase 2, which is to bring in a few vets to help congeal this group and bring them along into phase 3...true contenders for a few years in a row.

if you are talking about trading picks and/or prospects for established YOUNG NHL players in the 24-25 year range I can see the flyers "buying". but if you are taking about buying for a playoff run and you are saying they believe they can make it, I have real concerns about Fletcher and Holmgren
