I hope Carter Hart can keep his stellar play from the previous game going!

Oh he's got a hearing coming up, but this one will carry a stiffer penalty than a couple games without pay. I'm just hoping that he names AMac as his supplier.

Bill, Anyone,

Is it possible that Weise was a not so good influence on Patrick?
NP talked about how much Weise was an influence and he is not having a good year.
It's odd to completely remove someone from the locker room like that, he had to be having some kind of negative impact for the Flyers to lower Weise's trade value even more by putting him in Quarantine...

There has to be something more to it for sure.

Lehtera is really the best option on the 4th line?

I was wondering what is the timeline of the "JJ/Jonesy" recording was...

How many more games did he play after that came out? Did he go to the team when his name was clearly mentioned "He has to go"?

I know only 1 more game until the week off, but still find it odd that they are still going in to Montreal with 11 forwards (I am not counting Lehtera even if he plays) and 7 defensemen.

Maybe they’ve just simply had enough of a 4th liner who was unwilling to accept his role.

My guess is that with 2 days off prior to this game and a week plus after, Lehtera and Varone will be lucky to see 10 minutes of ice time combined. They will basically roll with 3 lines and spot in Raffl at ES and on the PK.

Looking at the last few years of trading activity, I don't expect any trades to happen for the next week. Maybe 1 salary cap dump trade the first week of February then a little flurry of TDL deals.

So most likely a very boring next 3 weeks for the Flyers in the trading department .

My guesses are:

Weise is moved within the next couple of days.

Simmonds is moved at some point during the last 2 weeks leading up to the deadline

One, or perhaps even 2, of Raffl, Gudas or maybe even Folin is dealt at the deadline

I also think its possible, unlikely, but possible, that if either Elliott or Neuvirth can return and stay healthy for at least a week prior to the deadline, that one is moved with 50% retention on deadline day to a contender just looking to add goaltending depth for their playoff run.

I dont expect big trades through the all star break but it's already been more active than it usually is this early. Theres more teams selling than buying. I think if fletcher is strategic he may be able to get a piece or 2 while selling off some guys who wont be here next year.

If half of your guesses come true I would be ecstatic, but I think the only thing that happens is Simmonds and maybe Raffl or Gudas.

I did listen to his interview on a pod cast this week(recorded on Monday) when he made a point of mentioning his diminished role since Gordon took over.

Combine that with Jones comments about him shutting down "If hes not getting his ice time" and I suspect 2 things:

1. He informally demanded a trade. Explains the waivers.
2. Hes become a pain in the ass and is female doging about his role on the team.

I don't get why people want to trade Gudas.

I don't know, feels like any other year with so many names thrown around, but like previous years most never happen.
