Is there a ban on NHL trades during All-Star break? If not, does this team come back intact? Zucc is improving his trade value daily. Rangers clearly miss Hayes most on faceoffs, hopefully Nieves can work on them during his time in Hartford.

Skjei's play has improved since being paired with McQuaid once he returned to the lineup.
Zucc's trade value has nearly recovered in playing harder & gritty like the old Zucc, resulting in a 5 game points streak in tallying during it 4 Goals and 5 Assists. That, after having played earlier to a team worst (-20) +/- rating in his first 30 games played in of the team's 43 through 10 days ago, (the 4-3 loss to the Isles in the final 1:26). Zucc's +/- has also improved 30% in the last 5 games since 10 days ago to a (-14).
Elliotte Friedman had mentioned this past week that Edmonton was looking at him, after all teams had stayed away earlier due to his then poor play.
Rask suffered an unfortunate concussion, all & only due to McAvoy losing his mind in frustration in checking Chytil hard on his body side right nearby Rask after he scored his goal, forcing Chytil's hard collision into him. Within a second or two after his dumb check, McAvoy immediately covered his face with his glove while looking downward, as if he was saying (in "kind like" words), "Oh no! Why the heck did I just do that?"

I agree with you on Zucc and Hayes, Tommy, and in key with the Rangers missing Hayes as depicted again by the Bruins dominating greatly on face offs by a 64% to 36% rate for this game, despite the Rangers win.
Hayes's absence (or if traded), also affects the team's puck possession time, resulting in more scoring opportunities for their opponent. In this game, it was once again the norm in % difference in Total Shot Attempts, when including those that would have hit the net in S.O.G. + Blocked Shots.
Boston had 29 S.O.G. to the Rangers 20. But when adding the 12 Blocked Shots by the Rangers, versus Boston's 3 only, the Rangers were out shot in Total Shot Attempts (excluding Shots Missed Wide) by a 41 to 23 count (a 64% to 36% matching the face offs % deficit rate). That depicts in part the importance of puck possession time the Rangers also miss with Hayes not here, as well as his penalty killing contributions, despite the Bruins going 0/5 on the Power Play this game.

Hey ,great day to throw all the conjecture around & see what sticks...

Hayes > scouts at gms lately ? Not for Hayes , he's been out !
Bet its who is going with Hayes from the D ....

P S team has found its top center for now in zbad..
Instead of now projecting him as a top grade A center ,who bout we get him
a RNH or Duchene some one = to or a lil faster better ,NOW you have a 1 -2
tandem to run with ,Hayes has a speed issue in a lg. thats going faster & faster
I M O thats the only diff & skill he lacks , he may be a true #2 as Z bad is a 1a

I hope when dust settles the names MDW wrote are to other teams
Hayes ,Zucc ,mcloud,Mcquad ,Nmaestikov .FAst a few D men would be nice
Claussen ? held em too long ,now injured

NEED TO TRADE ON HIGH SIDE OR BEFORE INJURY'S HIT ... LIKE NOW

Lets start the so called 2nd half unofficially with a true core & prospects team
ready to find out ,whos who
Cheetal ,love it, is finding a new level...
Buchny did earlier and is searching for it again, will need kick in pants
Trades & senority do that too , make guys move up wether they want to or not
By trading vets ,we get more maturity outof yg talents , have no one else to do it
so they have to...throw em in deep water ...

ADA ,really has improved, my bad ..Mr Turn over has been growing fast
teams record with him in games is incredible ,no more seats for him

Shey on the upswing same as SHatty but well see

Pionk hit a wall a lil, same as Howden, will be fine from reset of season ...can t wait

Zbad & krieds will be fine without Zucc, who will move into the slot ,Chtyl?like his wing gm as to center for now

Overall at the juncture you have to be pleased that we are very competitive yet NOT making PO's ....dont need 1st pick crap top 5 will do fine , if you cant find them there where will you...

CANT WAIT TO SE THE RAW REBUILD THE TEAM UNVEILS SOON ...I HOPE

iF THEY KEEP SO CALLED VETS HERE TO MAKE PO'S I WILL BURST .

GET THE TALENT SHIFT DONE ,BUILD FOR THE f A'S COMING AND THE

TALENT IN PIPELINE & FUTURE TOP PICKS ..l g r

fUN ? it has had sum moments , need teams conviction to rebuild to show up
and i will enjoy the rest of the season & enjoy the summer stock coming to NYR

Who is Joe Haggerty and why do they let a crack head write an article?

I don't think Chytil has thrown a check yet all season, but suddenly he is a guy who takes liberties at defenseless goalies.

It came up on google, and I saw the head line. Figured it would be good for a laugh. I wasn't disappointed.

(frank) extra draft choices- resign Hayes and Zucc. Use the money saved by trading McQuaid and continue to try and move Smith, Staal (who quietly is have an excellent season) and Shatty (if you can get them to waive their NTC/NMC). If you need to get a little more space this year, trade Vesey, Strome or Stinky whose skill sets can be replaced easily. A lot of cap space will open up after next year. I am glad many of you are not our GM. That is all.

I can definitely understand re-signing Hayes long term, but we dont know what he's asking for,

IMO, this is the perfect time to trade Zucc, he's going to be 32 this year and his recent resurgence should definitely raise his trade value

they traded a 4th rounder for McQuaid and should definitely get a better pick in return

I think they wouldn't turn their back on decent offers for Vesey, Strome or Stinky

trading Shatty, Staal or Smith a lot easier said than done.

I just dont think he will cost a lot in terms of either $ or years. I think less than what he currently makes and his value is worth more than what we would get in return. (the 50thish pick and a poop head). He provides valuable leadership and grit- skills that are hard to find.

Shatty, Staal and Smith come off the books after next year even if you can't move them right now.

His KHL season will end in February when his team fails to make the playoffs. I think it possible he goes to Hartford, gets acclimated to the U.S. and possibly plays the last few games of the NHL season with the Rangers. It will depend on how quickly he can transition. Different country, different language, etc. is hard for anyone never mind a teenager to adapt...

Be interesting, but I don't know if he would come over for just a few games with the Pack.

Chytil is the full package. Skill, Size and man what a mean streak. Just look at the evil in his face.
