Instead of a family zone there needs to be a Safe Space/Zone for all who have suffered under peter chiarelli. |

EDM w/Klefbom:
17-12-2
Outshot 11/31 games
2.93 GAA (14th)
EDM w/out Klefbom:
6-12-1
Outshot 16/19 games
3.79 GAA (now 24th at 3.26)
Might be safe to say this team misses Klefbom |

I have a question for you Oilers fans, would it be worthwhile buying out Lucic in the offseason or is he worth keeping around. I hope the Oilers can get there poop together it would be nice to see another BOA. |

I don't think this team can make the playoffs as it currently is. I've come to terms with that and have started looking more deeply into the draft, but I think there's still opportunity to improve despite that. Maybe not in the leaps and bounds we'd like, but incremental improvement is valuable. Guys like Burakovsky, Brown and Janmark bring speed and balance to the wings and could compliment the acquisitions of guys like Johansson or Coyle. |

I'd sooner do a retained salary transaction where maybe the other team buys him out and splits the buyout with us for the cost of a pick or something. The buyout is a pretty negligible difference for two of the years (years 2 and 4) but gives a solid 2.375 and 1.875 in years 1 and 3 respectively. If we could split the buyout with another team, that'd alleviate some of the burden and maybe wouldn't cost the world, either.
But yes, I would consider buying him out if only to avoid watching him play ever again. I'd fill his spot on the roster with pretty much anyone else. |

That's a pretty interesting scenario, I'd imagine the cost to do that would be pretty reasonable as well. |

I'd say so. The breakdown would be as follows:
1.8125mil
2.8125mil
2.0625mil
2.8125mil
312.5K
312.5K
312.5K
312.5K
I can't imagine that costing much more than maybe a 2020 2nd or something. |

Lucic has full no trade, no move clause. I guess he might want to move on so is there is some hope. |

Sure you can put them all down the middle but now the challenge is finding wingers to keep up with them and not drag them down....if this team has good wing depth this is a totally different season

Really? Nah it's all the money for me. If that's a 2 or 3mil/yr, this isn't a problem. |

If Chia had done it right so we had good depth then I don’t think Oilers fans would hate the guy as much....quality depth and winning? I doubt the pitchforks would be out

AlaYs loves Jankmark. Wish we hadn’t have trade him and Backman for neckbreak Cole. |
