Smart play by Sakic. They have some good lines but not the depth at all to compete. Better to draft two good to great 1st rounders this year. It would be hilarious if they draft 1 and 2 with their picks.

What did you give up? Just Duchene? Everyone made out like a bandit because Nashville got a solid second line center. Well except Ottawa.

How can the Avs have fallen off of such a cliff?

I have never seen a team look so great for the 1st two months and then completely hit rock bottom...wow. Loss for words. I would trade all the forwards except for the top line, JT, Soderberg and Calvert. Barbs and Nemeth need to go.
