Comedy of errors and still to this point Murray sits and does nothing, not that their is anything on this squad that a real contender would want, but still.
Who knew that a 7th round pick is the offensive dynamo this team is missing. Kase by being absent demonstrates he is the piece Ducks simply cannot generate scoring without.

Would be good for the Ducks if Gibson is out for an extended period of time. Johnson will be a great goalie to get better lottery tickets.

I actually like the roster but not sure what is happening..

They just can't score goals this season and it's putting pressure on everyone else to be perfect. If you're BEST outcome is to be 0-0 after 60 minutes, you try to do too much and think too much instead of reacting athletically. I'll be really surprised if they win 5 more games this year, this is completely in their heads and it just doesn't go away quickly.

Isn't Randy's answer to every Ducks losing streak to shoot more? Lots of shots in this game but terrible everywhere else. He needs to go. Drop him and promote an underling at this point just to remove him from the organization. Time for a rebuild beginning with the coach. It worked for the Flyers this year (although they poached their AHL coach and the Ducks don't necessarily want to do that). I stay up most nights to watch these games (east coast) and am losing my patience and my sleep.

Yeah but most want Eakins which is insane... He’s good down in the A but not in NHL - Must get this next hire right ... I’m not even sure Murray is the right guy to make the choice.

The question is will the Ducks win again this year? Stay tuned.

Seriously if not for Gibson standing on his head early in the year, Ducks might not have 40 points..

Knew that kind of tending was not sustainable, but you figured the rest of the team would come around.

And yet the wild card is still within reach, man does the West just suck or what.

You like the roster? You are the eternal optimist. They have 26.5 Million committed to Perry, Kesler and Getzlaf for two more seasons after this one (3 seasons in Kesler's case).

Everyone should be fired. GM and Coach. They're an awful team with no light at the end of the tunnel. They might be the worst off franchise in the NHL.

The bold part is the light at the end of the tunnel. Ducks will have a really solid core of defenders between the ages of 27 and 30 and a top 5 goalie at 28, when those albatross deals come off the books. Plus, they should be drafting in the top 5 or top 10 the next few years. It ain't all that bad. Sure, management needs to go, but the assets are there.

You can't judge Eakins based on his time at Edmonton. The Oilers were a dumpster fire then. Even Quenneville would have faltered.

Hey, I play at the Rinks, too. That was the basis of my comment in a prior post!

Even Taylor Hall said Eakins got a raw deal in Edmonton. I say let him and the prospects continue their successful season in San Diego and start fresh next year. Steel, Terry, Jones, Comtois, Sherwood, and Lundestrom, should all be in Anaheim next season with Eakins as the coach. If you don't promote him, chances are some other club will make Eakins an offer.

Trade Grant, Silfverberg, and Ritchie if you can. If the return is good enough, I would even consider trading Manson - he hasn't looked good all season and I think he is a little overvalued right now. Kesler and Eaves get bought out at the end of the season if they don't retire.

Next year is a growth year, then with maybe start being competitive by 20-21.

Edmonton Oilers: ducks are the worst franchise? Someone hold my beer.
