Excellent blog there Dan. I am glad that BB ripped into Granlund. Can't say BB is all that much at fault though in where he has played MG. He hasn't played the last 3 months exclusively with Koivu. Granlund has had long stints with Staal...and every line he moves to, Zucker goes along with...neither are earning their paychecks this year.

I know people don't like the idea of trading Granlund away, but this roster needs an extreme changeover and MG is probably their best trade asset. Only problem is, he has lowered his trade value a ton over the last 2-3 months. If you look over the last couple of years, both Granlund and Zucker were at their best when flying around the rink and not being touched. This year, they both have tried to play with more physicality...and that has ruined them. Time to move on.

It's sad really, because I always try to think in a positive tone with the Wild, and this year has finally was the straw that broke the camels back. I have always watched Wild games from beginning to end, totally glued to the screen until the final second has played out. Now this year, over the last couple of weeks, I still have the game on, but it is now just background noise and watch the game in spurts. I used to go to a couple of games a year...after this season, I won't unless it's from free tickets. I know Fenton has to tow a company line and make it look like they might still be buyers, but even the chipmunks running around in my backyard know this roster needs a complete overhaul. From the fans, please Mr. Fenton, just get it all started now.

tbh - I've always questioned the value of Suter's personality. Wasn't upset (or surprised) when he signed there. He reminds me of another Suter.

Considering you wouldn't take Faulk for Nino, I'm guessing you probably don't want him as part of a package for Granlund?

I wish they would've somehow got Necas out of there, not sure what else would've had to be in the package.

Here's one for you gus.

Wild get: Draisaitl, Yamamoto

Oilers get: Spurgeon, Zucker/Coyle, Soucy

Maybe a pick as well to sweeten the pot, I mean Draisaitl is the center piece.

I have a hard time with this one. I really like Draisaitl, but I am not sold on Yamamoto. I just think he is waaaay to small. But I just watched some highlights on Kailer and he does have a good shot and he keeps moving, so he would be hard to hit. I guess I would move on this trade. Would want to send Zucker over Coyle, basically just for cap purposes. And the UMD Bulldog in me doesn't want to see Soucy go, but I can for getting Draisaitl.
