Our “elite” franchise player who will be making almost 12 mil per season starting next season is playing with “the wrong linemates!” Excuse me while I cry for him. Most elite players make their linemates look better. He has to be better. PERIOD.

Haven’t noticed him much lately. He really took that 20 game suspension hard and disappeared off the face of the earth for the last 6 years.

In Matthews' defence, the best player he's played with this season is Kapanen (and then no one on the other wing) Marner gets Snakes to play with.

We need to stop going after our best players and concentrate on the poope like Gardiner, Marincin and Carter Ashton

If you take away that ONE game he is roughly on pace for 48 points and -67 (or (thereabouts)

but, yeah, it is my imagination that he is not playing as well as he was and the total disappearing act in last year's playoffs was all my imagination also.

Yeah, we've got a (frank)ed up fanbase for sure. I think previous management teams have done us in. Can't trust anyone anymore.
