There is nothing wrong with Tanev. He's playing well and creating a helluva lot more scoring chances than #29.
Scheifele line would be playing less, if the 2nd line could be counted on more.
If Maurice thought that Niku was ready for full-time duty, Niku would be playing.
Copp is doing just fine as the 4th line center. Wins lots of faceoffs.

No.
That’s a coaching problem.
That’s also a coaching problem.
This is true, and he should be 3C under Lowry.

1C - Scheifele
2C - Little
3C - Lowry
4C - Copp
With what we have, this is the optimum lineup.

The top line is being played into the ground, with the added benefit of getting the absolute minimum from both Wheeler and Scheifele due to them being together (and exhausted) all the time when they should realistically be carrying separate lines. Add into that Kyle Connor, a player whom is actually an anchor on that top line when he’s not scoring due to his overexposure and still developing (but currently ass) two way game.
The 2nd line has been dead in the water for over a month and a half now, and Maurice seems content to do absolutely goddamn nothing about it. Roslovic is doing his utter best, and impressing in the process, but he’s still getting sunk. Little is providing no defensive support whatsoever, and he hasn’t been a play driver since 2015, so he’s sinking. Laine hasn’t had a centre since Stastny, and Maurice absolutely refuses to try him with anyone but Little, even though LITERALLY ALL OF SCHEIFELE, LOWRY, AND COPP WOULD BE INFINITELY BETTER MATCHES WITH HIM, so now he’s sinking too.
The 3rd line is doing well, but you’re totally wasting Perreault’s god like scoring chance creation on two non-shooters in Lowry and Tanev, while wasting Lowry’s play driving on Tanev, and Tanev’s chaos on two guys who don’t play the same straight line game he does. All 3 are mismatched together.
The 4th line is riding an incredible lucky streak of late, with Lemieux himself having the highest PDO AND shooting percentage of anyone in the league. They’re being outshot, outchanced, and generally sh*tkicked in all 3 zones. When the luck wears off, they’ll be exposed, and despite his best efforts, Andrew Copp cannot carry Lemieux forever.
The top pairing is actually fine, so that’s fun.
The second pairing is a mess, as Byfuglien still doesn’t have a partner, and Morrow and Chiarot are not NHL defencemen. Maurice refuses to let Niku have a go next to the guy who has LITERALLY MADE A CAREER OUT OF CARRYING WAIVER FODDER. Clitsome, Chiarot, Morrow, Pardy, Harrison, etc. Let the top prospect have a game next to the coke machine, you stubborn tool, Paul.
The bottom pairing, when Kulikov-Myers, is excellent. When either player is without the other? Jesus Christ. Keep them together, or hide them. - Rexypoo
Yeeeeeesh. What a waste of space. Go take a valium! |

With all this Puljujarvi trade speculation coming of Edmonton. Does anybody think he can be had for Petan and 2019 2nd round pick?
His value has diminished greatly. And, considering how Arizona just gave away Dylan Strome and Brandon Perlini for Nick Schmaltz, the value has been set has it not? |

If he was available for what you propose the deal would be been done already so easy answer is no.

Eloquent, as always. Nice to see you still have nothing to say when called out. Keep throwing insults, my dude. They’ll probably validate your opinions one day. |

If we can do it, we should. He’s got strong numbers. Another Dylan Strome hiding in the weeds for a chance to show what he can do.
Having said that, I view Petan in the exact same light, albeit with a lower ceiling |

Sheifele 28 goals
Little, Lowry, Copp 26 goals combined
or more importantly playoffs 2018
Sheifele 14 goals
Little 1 goal
Lowry Zero
Copp 1 goal
The Jets are a one line offensive team

This
Scheifele - 63 points
Little - 36 points
Lowry - 14 points
Copp - 15 points
It's funny that the bottom three centres on the Jets combined equal to beating Scheifele by 2 points. When I hear about depth, it makes me laugh!!! |

Little at 36 points is very competitive with Kopitar, Schenn, Krejci, E.Staal, Getzlaf, and others |
