then there's only one thing to do...

Hopefully once the deadline passes they give Kreider a new 6 year deal and give him the C with the contract

our 7th rounder last year, Riley Hughes plays in BCHL and seems to be having solid season

he is teammates with Alex Newhook, projected just out of top 10 in this year's draft

wonder how the organization ranks him, I am sure they have been watching Riley Hughes a lot, so they must see this kid often too obviously

If Newhook goes outside the top-10, I think some GM is going to look very smart eventually. BC-bound next year to play with my good boy Ollie Wahlstrom

So what you are saying is we will take him with the 2nd overall pick

Wahlstrom and Barkov always look like they just farted

If the season ended today and nobody out of order won the lottery, you'd pick 11th. I assume after you trade away Hayes, the Keebler Elf and one or two other guys you'll drop a little, but it's not that far-fetched.

Rangers are due for a blowout loss, I predict 7-1 Jets tonight.

Barkov looks like he is getting that last piece out.

Wahlstrom looks like he took the last cookie and know one knows yet

I agree. There are just too many bad teams in the league this year. Gotta figure some combination of Chicago, Philly, Minny, and a currently putrid Buffalo will "pass" the Rangers no matter how hard they try to tank.

If Hayes, McQuaid and Zuke are gone I would be shocked if they won a 1/4 of their remaining games.

Oh no, the most Ranger thing to do is have a third period lead, blow it in the last minute, then lose in OT. No win to cheer, play surprisingly well against a superior opponent, and the loser point so no tanking benefit. They will wait for a bad team to get blown out by.

Zuke is the engine of the big line and the team really, so I agree, trading him means the team will lose any fight they have and they really won’t be able to score. Maybe 8-9 wins to finish season

I think Minny is going to have a tough go with Koivu out for the year and Buffalo/Carter Hutton have turned back into pumpkins finally. Chicago and Philly certainly seem to have turned it around, but are already above the Rangers in the standings. Colorado figures to blow past the Rangers if they can get their act together soon, which I have to imagine they will...especially if they add (Hayes?) at the deadline.

The first line will hit the poopter if Zuke goes. 2nd line will have no center whats so ever. Skjei loses a steady d man who helps his game. I think they could wind up picking 5th

I think a lot of the guys on the team will be motivated to play harder if a couple core guys get traded. They'll probably slip, but I don't think they're going to turn into total garbage. I think that kinda thing is going to motivate an uber-competitive leader like Hank. I bet you see him go on an absolute tear if/when the Rangers blow it up.

He'd have to play better than he ever did. Cause I can't see any help from the offense whatsoever if Zuke and Hayes go. Defense will probably get worse overall too, because McQuaid, Hayes and Zuke all play a very good defensive game

The other parts of the team would struggle, but I think putting Chytil on the top line, they wouldn't miss a beat. I think Claesson can do OK with Skeji. I think a 2nd line with Names as the center would struggle, but I'm not sure it would be a black hole.

Disagree. I love what Chytil can probably become, but he isn't exactly tearing it up and he wasn't very effective when he was on the top line and 2nd line in the beginning of the season.

I think if a team gets rid of their 3rd and 4th best scorers who contribute a lot of assists, its going to hurt no matter what. Probably losing 2 of the best set up guys and we sure as poop don't have a shoot 1st mentality with this team except for maybe Zib
