Not even close. Both those players are junk
- GPHawksfan

At this point, so is Burakovsky. He is just paid a lot more to be junk.

Despite their recent push I can see Kruger being dealt, maybe Kunitz if he agrees to it.
- DarthKane

I wouldn't be surprised if they deal Hayden, not that they will get much, but it would be one less contract on the books for the summer.

How do you know this? They've never even played an NHL game and both might never
- GPHawksfan

Just projections based on potential. Never said that's what they would actually be as NHL players. Agree, neither may even get to that level.

That should be an ejection for Soccer Level embellishment from Raffl. Not sure the stick ever hit him. Malkin is an idiot but that was absurd acting.

Hayden > Perlini

I’d keep the Hard working Hayden, and dump the lazy Perlini

But that’s just me.

Hey Enzo, what about Anthony Mantha as an under performer?

He would thrive with 19/88 with that frame and skill set. I’d be on the phone with Bob Murray, modern day Jackie Moon, in Anaheim for their surplus of young defenseman....

On a serious note (aka post #14) I am still impressed with the Delia signing. While I’m still not sure if Delia is a true #1 I think the worst case scenario is a very good backup. $1 million for a reliable backup is more than reasonable. There’s just not much (if any) downside to that deal. The deal reminds me of Bickell’s contract from 10/11 to 12/13.

Kudos to Stan.

- DarthKane

Could you see this conversation? Stan tells Delia, we like you, you could be our next number one keeper, but Crow is coming back, Ward has a no trade contract, so we need to send you to the Rock. But to show you how we feel about you I will give you a 3 year one way contract for $1mil per year. You play the rest of this year at the Rock, you back up Crow next year, then depending how Crow does and his contract expectations, you could be our #1 after that.

Agree i still think if hawks gave hayden more minutes he be a more effective player imo i like hayden i said it before i think he devolp into a 3rd line power forward 15 goals 35 points 100 penalty minutes and player hawks need and are lacking.

That evil Q....trying to get players that excel in his system to win 3 cups. What a jerk. Thank vishnu they dont have to worry about that winning BS anymore.

Now if they can only get rid of Keith...who still wants to win...

Agree here. Coulda woulda shoulda, but this boiled down to a Game 7 against St. Louis with their largest amount of stars. A team stacked with Kane, Toews, Ladd, Panarin, Hossa, Keith, Seabrook, Hammer, Campbell and Crow likely would've gotten far this year if we got past St. Louis. Weise didn't gel but he fit that Eager, Mayers, etc. mould but he was chipping in that year.
- Popsghostly

Does anyone remember the defenseman who made a terrible turnover that led to the STL game winning goal in game 7?

I would like to give Perlini a little more time. 22, big, fast, some hockey iq. RFA after this year. You can probably sign him cheap.

Hayden 23 and signed for another year on the cheap.

Let's keep them around and see how they progress at least through camp next year.

Just watched Slap Shot on NHL channel. First time I've seen it in years and it still had my busting a gut laughing. Might be my all time favorite "sports" movie.

I tried, but it just isn’t the same movie with all the swearing cut out.

SJS vs VSN. 1-0 Sharks one minute in. Canucks backup goalie playing due to Markstrom injury.

Edit 2-0

I could see one or more of Ward, Kruger, AA, Forsling, Kunitz being traded. My guess is Kruger or Forsling. But I hope it is AA.

Perlini only played 17 games in the AHL after his OHL career. ARI rushed him to the big leagues One of those guys that need to play and learn the game in the minors for a year.

In the moment, I agree, but what are their respective ceilings? I bring it up because Hayden is eithere here for 7 minutes a night tops, or he is back at Rockford. Seems like a player to trade if that is all they think he is worth.

Perlini will get renewed at same rate, because pedigree if nothing else, and he will have to show them he really belongs, or he will get waived or traded.

Hayden is a modern day enforcer. He’s on the team for his right fist and body checks on the forecheck. he has adequate hockey skills unlike enforcers of previous generations.

Perlini might be physically large, but Kruger and Caggiulla play much bigger and harder on the puck at 30lbs lighter and 5” shorter. With that being said, he has some tools that make him worth another year tryout IMO.

Hayden ever goes with a legit enforcer he's going to need that college education cuz he won't be playing any more hockey.
