Something to think about while the Devils probably outplay the Penguins again tonight.
I am glad we are on the same page here |

Looks like Blueger is a scratch tonight with Wilson. 4th line of Pearson-Cullen-Simon, per morning skate.
Unreal, what games do the coaching staff watch that we are all missing? |

Did you really expect anything less? Bleuger had his first meh game, so of course he gets benched.
Plus they want to see how Pearson responds. |

this is pretty funny. doesn't include the rags game, but you get the point.
Record vs. Non-Playoff Teams:
15-11-4; a 92-point pace
104 Goals For; 3.5 goals-per-game
100 Goals Against; 3.3 goals against per-game
Record vs. Playoff Teams:
16-10-3; a 99-point pace
99 Goals For; 3.4 goals-per-game
84 Goals Against; 2.9 goals against per-game

Poor leadership imho tbh. Time to trade Crosby and Malkin. |

If a Pearson for MarJo trade were on the table I’d do it in a heart beat. I’ve always loved Johansson and it would give us yet another 3C option if they’re deadset on playing Bjugstad on wing.
I just don’t see the Devils being super interested in taking Pearson’s salary back. They’re rebuilding, have plenty of assets, and don’t need to make that kind of cap investment on a reclamation project. |

They could use a free pick and a NHL capable forward. Just look at that active roster. |

if they're looking to keep taylor, i'm thinking it will be more of a retool than a rebuild. getting back a current player and pick might be what shero has in his mind |

Johannsen would be great. In terms of compensation, does Shero love Maata still?
Could you do Maata and Pearson for Jo and Lovejoy?
Or Maata and a 5th for Johannsen and a 2nd?
Pearson and Simon for Johannsen?
Not sure his value but I'd do any of those.

Like 2 2nds for Douglass Murray?
A 2nd and a 3rd for MarJo?
A 2nd and a 4th for Mirco Mueller?
Let's not pretend like he wins all his trades. |

It was considered a steal when he got Johannsen. Injuries make it look bad in retrospect. |

I think the 2nd and 3rd for MarJo was sound, it just didn’t work out due to injuries.

Sure, I just think there’s a difference between making an objectively stupid trade (Crankshaft) and losing a trade in hindsight because of some unforeseen factor like misdeployment by a coach or injury (Iginla, MarJo). |

Fair enough. My point stands though that Shero is night some trade master jedi. |
