He seems to have the guys buying in. Shot blocking and winning puck battles to the likes of which we have not seen this year.

Even if this year still sucked that trade was robbery. The only way Buffalo saves the trade is if they get luck with their first. Looking at scouting reports from a number of sources late first rounders in this draft are solid players but not difference makers. Top ten are good and as usual the later rounds will have some late blosemers. There is one interesting guy going into the draft again who just set an USHL record 20th goal as a dman. Unless the Sabres can identify some players a bit off the board they'll likely be drafting borrom six talent. Although, having three picks at least means they could figure out who is going to be good two-four years later.

You know his demeanor is pretty amazing. He sucked it up when it looked hopeless and stayed relatively calm. He managed to get them from fragile to confident which is amazing.

Two third periods that haven't gone well in this streak and this team just never folded. Before they would have folded.

Did you see how mad he was at Dunn's weak clear attempt at the end of the 1st?

Guru, you have to be pretty pleased with Binner getting an opportunity. I know you've been a fan for a while.

I must admit that I'm still not fully sold long term but he is exactly what this team needed. I have a blog concept on it but just not enough time to write and develop it.

I was thinking the same thing about Berube. Even in the midst of all this success, he's still coaching them to be better and isn't satisfied with every aspect of their game.

If you were army, would you put in a claim on DSP and send Mackenzie back down?

Also, having DSP could give you trade insurance at the deadline but more on that in a future blog... of course, then you have an issue when Perron comes off IR but maybe you have a trade then.....of course, with the team rolling, you don't want to mess up the chemistry like they did with the Buther deal back in the day.

Is the re-entry waivers claim @ 50% contract still a thing?
