If Mojo keeps it up for another week he get AT LEAST a 1st! |

I agree with you Todd on the Penguins. Very inconsistent all year and just a team that is not very well put together. Sully still wants to be a speed team, but they are older and slower now than in 2016. The team has very little identity and most lines, other than the 1st line, is just a bunch of random parts together.
Pens can catch fire before the playoffs, but I hope they keep their 1st round pick this year. |

I know Todd always points out How Mojos numbers have been good this season and he just hasn’t been rewarded but im starting to feel like he is playing better because he doesn’t want to be here and he is more motivated to play better to increase his chances of being traded |

Please god just let Kinkaid play out the season and aid the tank. He is not good and draft position is key here. I imagine at best he is playing overseas next year unless Uncle Lou throws him a bone. |

We’ll take Kinkaid and Johansson off of you for Mike Smith, Neal and Czarnik. - Flamin_Irishmin
Yeah, no. |

You mean jack Johnson gives up way too much defensively. |

I've wondered the same thing. Mojo looks so much better then at any point during the two years he's been here. Maybe it's just finally being healthy but I've wondered what's up with that?
It's a contract year so not only is this a matter of trade value, but getting a nice next contract... from somebody.

Agreed that Kinkaid might be, and probably should be, dropped at this point.
Disagree about Lovejoy. He stinks. - jersey1414
Keith Kinkaid has certainly lost all trade value and probably should lose his job as backup to Blackwood. But I don't see any urgency in dealing with him if we are sellers and tankers. Maybe Hynes has seen enough and just wants to turn the page.
Lovejoy isn't good, but I don't think he's completely destroyed his trade value like KK. If we can get a horrible pick for him it's still found money. |

Pens seem to give up their 1st every deadline, and are in desperate need of a 3C. Mojo picked a good game to be our best player, and was an effective center with Washington. I could see this being a great rental agreement. |

And on that note, keep the exact same D pairings. Wow was that an ugly roster last night. It is gonna be a massive tank battle tomorrow. Likely Douchene/Stone/Dzingle all healthy scratched for trade protection, and we may be their biggest competition approaching the lottery. I hope Gryba and Lovejoy get top pairing, KK starting, with Lack backing up. |

Yeah, Kinkaid could have gotten something decent before he started playing like poop. Lovejoy has always sucked so his value has always been zero. Can't go lower than nothing. |

He’s in a contract year. No way he sand bags just to get traded. |

curious what Ray does in the off-season. Do we go hard after a UFA like Stone (26) or Panarin (27)? Do we re-sign Hall (27) to stick with Palmieri (28)? Or do we trade everyone over 19 years old and start over with Hischier and this year's pick?
I vote we stick with this 26-28 year old age-range, and nestle the younger kids with those guys in their primes. Hischier will be in his 3rd year next year, Bratt too. I expect 65pts from Nico and 45-50 from Bratt. I expect 40 from Zajac, Zacha, and Coleman, and 30 from Wood.
If we land a top 2 pick, we could surround him with guys like Zajac, Coleman or Zacha.. or sign a Stone or Panarin.. or both.. and surround the kid with some talent.
Hall-Hischier-Palmieri
Panarin-Hughes-Bratt
Coleman-Zajac-Zacha (lol at this line)
Wood-Seney/Q-Anderson/Q
Agostino, Rooney, Q and the other bums will definitely see enough ice time.
If guys play to their potential, that's not a bad group of forwards.
Have a top 6 of Vatanen, Severson, Smith, Yakovlev, Greene, Butcher. I'm a believer in Yak and Smith. Wish we'd start Yak every night. Lovejoy can't leave soon enough. |

Yeah no big name will sign with a team that can't win when not someone like nyr or Chicago |

I would be OK with that D core, which we currently possess without any off-season trickery. As long as Greene moves to lower minutes on the bottom pairing. Smith will be ready to move straight into a top 4 role next season.
Hughes would be great if we are lucky enough to get him, and would address our desperate need for a second legitimate Center. Our RW has been extremely weak this season, and needs to be addressed. Maybe a move for Jesse Puljujiarvi could be feasible if we offer something like Quennville + mueller + 2nd. The kid has not shown he is a useful NHL player, but nobody could give him a better oppurtunity at top 6 TOI than the Devils. All kids in that trade are in need of a shake-up.
