Your piece on moving up with 3 point games doesn’t make sense because the Coyotes have only gotten the loser point once in their last 10. More appropriately, the loser point have helped the teams competing with the Yotes.

The Coyotes are playing good defensively.. in their wins. They aren’t hanging their goalies out to dry as much as their opposition (see TO). They likely won’t make noise should they get in, but can they get in? It’s possible

yes it does make sense, because in the NHL due to three point games, jumping over multiple teams, even though you're not that far out of the playoffs is usually impossible.

Tamsy, true or false: Chayka’s legacy will be “dude who gave away Dylan Strome”?

The fact that he flipped him for some plug named “Schmaltz” makes it so much worse. That name’s not gonna age well

We should put together a "Best of Tanner" list, so that when the offseason inevitably comes for the Coyotes, he can just republish his old works.

Feel free to cut and paste, adding your requests at the bottom.

Best of Tanner

Patrick Kane isn't good
99% of the population is better off renting
Beagle's shot is as good as Ovi's
The 2017-18 Washington Capitals will be terrible

Best of Tanner

Patrick Kane isn't a good person.
99% of the population is better off renting - this is actually true and as far as I know, not really disputed anywhere but culturally.
Beagle's shot is as good as Ovi's - this was an exagerated claim to make the point that Ovechkin's real skill is getting open and having a high shot volume. Every NHL player is closer to Ovechkin than you think when he's open and it's not a game situation. This explains why the greatest goal scorer of his generation and possibly all time isn't too great at the shootout.
The 2017-18 Washington Capitals will be terrible, and they were definitely overrated and they just got very lucky. Still they won the Cup, so win some lose some.

A playoff appearance could do a lot of good for the Yotes. The game against Toronto was sold out, and while there was a lot of blue shirts in the stands (there is at almost every Leafs road game that I've been to in other markets), it's not like they don't have fans. The other major sports in this market teams all stink right now.. if there was a time for fan momentum, it's now.
