Not nearly enough. The NHL keeps trying to project this image that they want to protect players from head injuries and they only give this clown 2 games??

Well, Malkin only got a game. However, this is not Gudas' first time doing something like this...DOPS is (frank)ed

You do have to give them some credit. There's concussion protocol now and no more staged fights. But plays like this are for some reason oddly under penalized.

It wasn't Malkin's either... It was just his first suspension

Zero credibility from the DOPS, this was a tap on the helmet, nothing malicious. Malkin tried to smash a guy in the face with his stick and save me the it was his first suspensions sh!t. He's has plenty of dirty plays and has been fined more than once before. I'd like to hear what Kucherov had to say about it.

I think he shoulda got 3 or 4 games. Was he given a penalty on the play? Did any of Kuchs teammates come to his defense and pop Radko?

two minutes, and no. People were confused why he tapped the guy.

I actually like Gudas and have defended him in threads here before. This was no McSorley tap, but he's gotta know better.
I'm fine with two games, but he's lucky he didn't get more considering he's a marked man.

Two games seems about right. I'd have been fine with 1 or 2 more. Stupid non-hockey play. Didn't swing very hard and knew he'd be hitting the helmet.

If it wasn't for Gudas bobbling his stick prior I would say easy 10+ games, but to me it looked like he got his glove on his stick and tried to put it to the ice quickly and instead bopped Kuch. Then add in the fact Gudas instantly went over to Kuch to apologize right after it happened. DoPS said his intentions were clear, but I am not in Gudas's head to know that, so I think 2 games is more than fair.

....and no more staged fights.

Why is it someone else’s responsibility if two guys go at it, and one gets a concussion? Do we really need to be protected from everything by some higher authority? I know I have to preface every statement by saying I would never condone cheap shots, so there it is, but the game lost its passion, nastiness, and rivalries. The PC snowflakes just never stop, and DoPS is a bunch of subjective hacks. Malkin’s was WAY worse, and the he IS a repeat offender. He just hasn’t been suspended enough to be called a repeat offender. It’s a joke!

PAST HISTORY OR NOT THAT BULL$HIT GETS GUDAS 2 GAMES AND TO MISS THE OUTDOOR GAME IN PHILLY AND MALKINS INTENTIONAL SWING AT A PLAYER GETS 1. THE LEAGUE DECISIONS ON THESE ARE MORE FRUSTURATING THAN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS AND IS NOT GOALIE INTERfERENCE. THIS ONE IS ABSOLUTE BS MALKIN SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST GOT 2 AND THAT IS BEING FAIR IF GUDAS GETS 2 FOR THIS (AND GUDAS HAS BEEN DAMN WELL BEHAVED SINCE HIS LAST SUSPENSION)

You know darn well Malkin deserved more than a game but the NHL didnt want him to miss the outdoor event. How many "Warnings" can you get - just special treatment for a talented - dirty - player.

I said he deserved between 3 and 10 but your lack of acknowledgement to what gudas did is hilarious and hypocritical, clearly blinded by your hate of Malkin and the 2012 playoff series when he boobooed your plug

Think you’ve been eating the gravy out of your shorts! It’s the only explanation for the hypocrisy of your drivel. Get some new undies, take your medication, and come back when you actually make sense.

You honestly think this last Gudas suspension was worth more than a baseball swing at eye lever of another player? I don't see it, Malkin's play was clearly a lack of respect for other players, Love his talent, hate to see someone with such skill play with such little respect. Gudas honestly has let up greatly since his 10 gamer, and maybe I'm looking through my orange and black goggles but I just don't see it as nearly as intentional or malicious as Malkins

2 Games seems right for the intent and result. What I'd like to know is why Kuch had his stick up in Gudas's face prior to this that angered Gudas. Guess I'm the only one that saw it. The stars in this game need to learn to keep their sticks to themselves or face the repercussions.

Crosby slashes Methot with no discipline. Malkin and Marchand have multiple infractions with intent to injure and the league sucks their rectums and thanks them for it.
