I read it's for Donato and a 5th.

I personally like the trade as I was not high on Donato, but from a “perceived value” standpoint seems like a great deal for Minnesota. I’d like to think Coyle could flourish now that he can finally skate with some elite talent

Is there a more perfect name for a Boston guy .. like ever... Charlie Coyle... Right out Robert Parker book.

And it starts. About a month ago I think I suggested this trade, except I think I asked for a 3rd Rd pick instead of a 5th. I like this trade both ways. It gets CHAAHlie back out east and new scenery for him. Might be lightning in a bottle for Boston like Nino has been for Carolina. And Donato brings youth to team that is starving for it. Although now the Wild are 1 less right handed forward. Way this thing is going, the entire team is going to be left handed.

Its a good start. Now if that 5th rd pick can be either used to entice a little more in the next trade, or combined with other picks to move up some in the draft, that will be a big bonus.

Terrible trade for MN. Donato is a slug with a good shot while Coyle is a big, fast, and skilled 200ft forward. Thanks for making yourselves worse!

Fenton is getting fleeced left and right. He should only be looking to get
first round draft picks back. At least Boston is a favored team of mine.

In no way is Coyle worth a 1st round pick. I do think Donato and a 2nd or 3rd pick is closer than the 5th, only because the Bruins have him locked in for another year.

Shots fired!! Time will tell who wins this trade (on paper Boston wins immediately) but this is a trade to get younger...thank you sweet baby jesus the fix is in. It's a gamble but I for one support it.

I think the Wild got stiffed on this trade. But, time will tell. At this point in time, the Wild need to take what they can get. 1 down, 18 more to go!

I love how the idiots that haven’t watched Coyle play over the last 7 years think that this is somehow a bad trade for the Wild

Regardless of the way Coyle has played, he is worth more then what the Wild got for him in return. I was expecting a 2nd rounder, not a 5th. The Wild took a bullet to ditch him off.

As a fellow outsider, I agree. Boston won, until Minnie gets upgraded to a 4th from their conditional 5th........ Then Minnie raked them over the coals.

Ill gladly take this this trade. Coyle is what he is and will probably be better on a talented bruins team. But at least this trade helps the wild get younger and start building on a new young core. Seems like Donato actually LIKES to shoot the puck, an asset the wild sure could use.

This is a pretty solid trade. Bruins get Coyle who hasnt performed as well as people have been hoping but he gets to come home and play with a more talented team. Wild get Donato who has shown flashes but hasnt been able to find his game consistently for the Bruins, but he clearly has age and potential on his side.

I like Donato, think we gave up on him a bit early but at least Coyle has an extra year and can play some 2nd line wing or 3C.

Keep clearing out cap space, wouldn't mind a move for Skinner.
