Never ever tank.. team is having fun and some, I repeat some confidence... PP actually looks legit... PK although wobbly a couple times last night was excellent... and Miller was steady Eddie good. Him missing 24 games def. hurt and extended a couple of those losing streaks ... it looks like they’ve gone to zone in the D zone from that god awful man to man...

Keeping Carlyle was Murray's version of a tank job. The team had obviously quit on him, hence the decent to good play in the 4 games since. The problem with that though was the tank job was coupled with many season ticket holders recieving rather large price increases, particularly in the lower bowl between the blue lines. I was told after the disastrous road trip that 2500 STH ers called their representatives to find out how they could opt out of their auto renewal for next year. This was the reason Randy was fired and was followed by a letter from the Samueli's stating their dedication to winning. You're correct about SoCal fans, you HAVE to win or at least be entertaining or no one will show up. Disneyland is right down the street and the beach is 30 minutes away in traffic. The Angel's have the best player in baseball and they can't fill half the stadium after the all star break when they've been eliminated from the playoffs. I don't mind the Silfverberg signing, and I wouldn't have minded if he was traded either. The stated money isn't terrible and it doesn't include a full NTC. I still don't think they'll make the playoffs, though. Chicago, of all teams, is really playing well now and I think the Stars will get in, also, even though they've always been choking dogs. The draft this year is really good, I've heard Dreger say it's 10 or so deep so this is a good thing either way for Anaheim.

I'm disappointed that they're winning again. I say we continue our losing ways. I would be so upset if the Kings got Hughes.

Other than Crosby and McDavid, there's no such thing as a sure thing in hockey (see Nail Yakupov). Professional players don't play to tank, especially with the GM standing right behind them. Winning 3 of 4 doesn't mean they're all of a sudden going to make the playoffs (note: they're 3 points out of the #8 spot, not 1, and all teams ahead of them hold the tiebreaker). Let's see where we are a couple of weeks from now.

Even if trading Silv got us a first round pick, that pick would be in the 20-31 range. We already have Lundestrom, Comtois, Steele, Terry, Mahura, Jones, etc., ready to join the big club within the next couple of years. Silf. can mentor them also.

As far as season pricing goes, sections 221, 223, 209, 207 STAYED THE SAME for next year. Center ice (208, 222) went up $41 per game. Sections 210, 220, went up $6 per and sections 224, 206 went up $2 per game. The other significant increase lower level was Row B. All row B seats now cost $148 per game. As my rep explained, all pricing is based upon supply and demand. FWIW, my seats went up $2 per game, and I'm on the Club level.

Don't think this team has what it takes to win this year, so I think I would be in favor of not making the playoffs. Get a better draft pick and restock the farm a little. Also lets get a little more rest for Perry and Kes if they're still around, and Gibby too. I will say this team is a lot more fun to watch, really impressed with Jones. Would love to see Ritchie play like that too

Yeah, I'm in Row B in the upper bowl and my seats went up $1 a seat, no big deal. The threatened cancellations was a perfect storm of horrific play, price increase, and Carlyle hatred. It was no coincidence that I received a phone call from my ticket rep wanting to know if everything was ok.

Rakell - Getzlaf - Perry
Jones - Terry - Comtois
Ritchie - Henrique - Kase
Steel - Kesler - Silfverberg
Shore - Rowney - Sprong - Lundestrom - Roy

I'm not saying those are the lines. I'm saying the future looks pretty bright. And if you buy Kesler out, you can put Roy on that line. Those lines will be stacked next season.

Lindholm - Manson
Fowler - Montour
Larsson - Megna
Welinski - Mahura - Dotchin

These boys will be just fine. Plus, you know Bargain Bob will be signing a veteran or two.

Gibson - ?

Need I say more?

Keep the kids away from Kes at all Costs... Get Terry out of the middle ...

Isac between Jones & Silf -

Sam between Comtois & Terry

Hawks, Yotes, Avs, Wild all have same predicament Ducks have. Oil and Kings look look to be the lucky ones here.

I have been a long time Ducks fan and season ticket holder. I wont’ say I am a hockey expert, but I believe I have decent insights into the NHL. This is a lost season, even if we somehow go on a run and grab that last wildcard spot, we do not have a team that can make a run into the playoffs. The good news is we have numerous young guys in San Diego (and up playing now) that are a solid future. The Ducks have done a great job of drafting when their position in the draft is 25th and higher over the years. While the players themselves aren’t going to tank, I frankly would rather see us lose, drop down so that we can get a top five pick and add an important piece for next year and the future. The likelihood of grabbing that 1st pick and getting Hughes is small, but 2-5 have a good return in this draft. Murray shouldn’t touch our back end but needs to revamp the roster via the draft and free agency. Let’s be realistic, the Ducks are having an “off year” but the future is bright and we can be back as a contender in a short period of time. Yes I love my Ducks, but frankly when Calgary scored with 3:29 to go, I cheered as I didn’t want the Ducks to add points, I prefer to see them drop and get a high pick.
