I think we can all officially stop talking about the playoffs now. That was just brutal. And Hart has not looked very good last 3 or so games. |

Agreed on the playoff talk, but give Hart a break. It’s been the last two games. The last one was his first back to back starts on consecutive nights. Remember, he is just a kid, and has done more this season than anyone could have asked for, so far. Hellybuck got shelled last night 7-1 by Colorado. Does that make him lousy? Every netminder has ups and downs. The kid will have his as well. I’m not concerned about him. In fact, he pretty much stole 3-4 games of the recent streak. I just want to see the team play well, and have Fletcher make prudent moves that improve this team for next year and beyond. |

I'm not worried about Hart. He's 20.
I'm worried about yet another coach that cannot get this team to stop starting slowly. |

This...
I guess this means the core needs a change. We already guessed this. Fletcher is no doubt working on it.

Back to reality, I know hart is our future and can play at a very high level at his age as he has shown, but I’m thinking they need to back him off a little |

I have a feeling Fletcher is gonna try to trade JvR. Maybe not this deadline but over the summer. Wasn't his signing |

Ever since they brought in Hart’s “mentor” he has been bad ...at least Elliot should get a draft pick back at the deadline. |

At what point does the blame fall on this rotten core? As you said another coach ....what’s the common denominator?? |

Don't think trading for Harts mentor has anything to do with it. Talbet has been stuck in Canada and I don't believe he has had a chance to practice with the team. |

Hart will be fine. The winning streak made everyone forget about the losing streak(s). It boils down to the fact that this team is mediocre at best |

It’s a so-so hockey team being overseen by a mediocre coach and staff. Gordon is basically Hak with better communication skills. The most important thing Fletcher can do this summer is to replace the entire coaching staff. |

I think this will be the case. Pretty depressing watching that game seeing the speed that carved us up again. Hardly any household names on that Montreal team but they have an identity and they know exactly how they want to play. We are a mess. Our pp is a freaking mess. Good pieces on this team but when they are not all pressing with 110% effort it looks real bad
And for (frank)s sake leave Myers in |

Flyers would prob need to retain salary. I’d be willing to do it. Maybe that’s why Arizona GM was reportedly In town this week? Their looking for scoring and pp help. Get him the f out |

You guys are funny.
What did you think was going to happen. This team had such a whole to dig out of they needed to play perfect hockey the rest of the season to just have a chance. They needed a 20 year old goalie to bail them out most nights and still have a pretty inexperienced defense.
To even make it this far is pretty solid work. Also all this was done without making a bad trade for help. It was done because the team started to play solid hockey which we thought would happen from the start of the season.
I was getting excited that they might actually get in. I still feel like it will be close because I don't think Buffalo, Columbus or Carolina are going to just run away with the last playoff spot. But not matter what happened there was always a realization that the team still had to prepare and make moves for the future.
No matter how good the run was or is, they always had to look at the big picture and trading Simmonds and making moves for next years team. You also had to be honest and know Hart was going to face some adversity. It was coming. But maybe facing it now just prepares him better for next year.
Basically my long winded rant is just me saying relax. If being honest we all knew what was most likely going to play out the rest of this year, even as good as things were. Just enjoy and hope our youth continues to grow and develop and our goalie fights his way back to playing well. |

How many coaches does it take before people finally come to the conclusion that the issue is not coaching? |

I would say Moose has definitely upped his trade value over the past two games.

Probably an unpopular opinion but would you sit Simmonds for the outdoor game if he is your biggest trade chip? If your not re-signing him, is it worth it to risk a possible injury?
