Skinner would be a good fit in Toronto but 1- the Sabres would not trade him to there and 2- Toronto would not give up what the Sabres would want. Toronto's offense is fine without Skinner though.

I call bullpoop, and skinner only gets traded if he waves his no trade... doubtfull he would do that. Toronto dosent need scoring, they need defense... don’t think they are going to pony up enough to the Sabres for a rental...

Sabres fan here....the only deal we'd take is Kapanen. Then the Leafs can roll with Skinner and let him walk 7/1 to address their cap crunch

Nice try but sabres aren't trading skinner. They're waiting until after the trade deadline so he can sign for 8 yrs vs 7. There's that little thing called waiving his no-trade clause too. Nice attempt buy just wrong

So basically Skinner will be staying in Buffalo, Panarin and Bobrovsky will be traded, and Simmonds will be traded. Thanks Ek.

He going to be a UFA he's going to get huge money.... Plays in the playoff and gets hurt there goes the money.... get traded and he's not playing with someone like jack and he doesn't score like he was here there goes some money.
Sure if he get traded and lites it up he get more money, but risk vs added money doesn't make sense.

Skinner didn't want to waive his NTC when Carolina traded him, and by many accounts largely went to Buffalo so that a) he could play on a top line with Eichel and b) to be close to home.

Have a hard time seeing him wanting to waive for too many places this time around either, unless he REALLY wants the playoffs.

Getting hurt would impact his UFA status but unless it's catastrophic it won't.
He can get hurt in a regular game in Buffa(frank)inglo just as easy. Why not take your shot at the playoffs? Because who doesn't want a chance to win The Cup? If you produce in the postseason your value goes up too.

@RippedFuel

Leafs aren't trading Kapanen for Skinner, or anyone for Skinner for that matter.

Leafs will make trades, sign Marner, Kapanen, Johnsson. The Leafers will laugh and the haters will hate.

The utter chaos that is the Flyers this past week...trading for a goalie who can't work in the US and reactivating a goalie who is physically challenged and then the rest of the team deciding that it was their break week....And the brain trust is sitting on their collective hands?

They are going to be destroyed by the Penguins...again...
I don't play Hart in the stadium game. I don't even dress Hart. Let Elliot and Talbot...and if Talbot can't dress then fire Fletcher for making that deal.

And if they can't/wont trade Simmonds or do anything constructive to fix the issues with this team...pull the plug
