People on here have always had a thing for Montour, I think GMJB did good. It's also good that if Guhle does become a star (which is more than possible) He will doing it out West. |

Good move for both teams. Montour is a talented player who will probably benefit from a change in scenery and a new role, and the Ducks were going to have a hard time extending him a year from now.
Guhle adds speed and will be more affordable until the Ducks get out from under the Getzlaf/Perry/Kesler contracts. And the 1st helps the Ducks restock or make a move on draft day. A good hockey trade for both teams |

Chances of Guhle becoming a star are slim to none; not more than possible.
He can become a decent 5-6 defenseman but I don’t see anything more than that. |

Have I not been telling you that Ducks and #Sabres have been very chummy the ost few months?
- Garth
You’ve literally linked the Sabres to every NHL team in terms of trade.
“Throw dirt enough, and some will stick.”
That’s a basic conclusion on your articles minus the spelling mistakes. |

He has had a better start to his career than Montour did with is. |

Think you’re confusing Montour and Guhle with someone else. Montour has actually had the better start to his pro career than Guhle.

I love the "eat your heart out, Toronto" tweet. Classic Garf. Yeah, I'm sure the Leafs are envious of what's happening in Buffalo right now....hahaha
The underlying stats on Montour are horrible, and let's be honest, Buffalo doesn't tend to bring out the best in players. This is a questionable move, at best

Getting one up on the leafs is basically a cup in Buffalo. They can't call up a player from the minors without making it about the leafs. |

So says the guys from the big, bad city who go out of their way to go on Garth's blog to pick on us simple country folk.
Funny how I see many many comments from TO folks all over HB who think everyone else hates them and they become uber-defensive because we're jealous of the city, the team, or your ability to draw great players because "who wouldn't want to play in TO?".
The reality is:
Everyone hates you because (many of) you are douchebags. That's all. |

You made a trade with Anaheim and within seconds its a 'take that toronto' angle. Victimize yourselves all you want. It's the norm and its sad. |

Douchebagery is subjective. Garth is obsessed about the Leafs. He's still bitter about Babcock.
Montour could be a nice pick up. Skates well. Good passer. Not sure if he is big/physical enough to be elite. I am confused a bit though, GARF had told everyone Guhle was gonna be a star! |

Garth does not represent the Sabres ffs.
I find fans of Canadian teams are best at the reverse-victimization-passive-aggressive-don't- get-so-angry-buddy-defense-mechanism schtick than us here in the US. |

That came from Garth, who 99% of all Sabres fans can agree is clueless. The fact that he is Canadian explains a lot. |

Okay, I'll do my best to buy in to the Garth doesn't represent us angle. But you've got to give a little credence to the idea that you all literally gather in his forum to boast as much. That's moderately ironic and slightly difficult to digest. Fair trade? |

Has anyone considered approaching him and getting him to show you on the doll where someone touched you that could possibly result in a good Canadian becoming a Buffalo fan?
This entire charade is starting to look like a massive cry for help. |
