Good blog, Jan. Thank you for making the effort. It was somewhat of a surprise.
I think most on here would agree with me that you shouldn't feel the need to post something after the Detroit game if you have family matters to attend to. This season more than most. We all know where the team is right now and it is not likely to change in the near future.
All the best to your family.

Did David Quinn watch the same game as us. I thought this was one of the few games the Rangers played we in. They hit a couple of posts and got jabbed by some terrible calls in the 3rd period. I just can't with this guy sometimes.

PP was awful, they gave up more chances then they had. Thought it was a middle of the road game. PK was good, even strength was average. Looking at the roster comparison, yeah I guess its a win to only lose by 1.

They should Play Georgie every game and see if Hank wants to leave in the summer

I think there is a really good chance that Chicago, Anaheim and Vancouver all finish ahead of the Rangers in points

and, if the Devils win both of the teams final two meetings, it will be close with them too, Devils will beat the Rangers in ROW

I didn't realize when I bought the tickets that I was sitting directly in front of Sam Rosen. It was fun getting to watch the game live in Dallas while hearing his voice behind me giving me the play by play

Gotta play Lundqvist. I can't have Georgiev cucking me out of losses.

The Rangers are in a tough situation here...while Georgiev has been playing well as of late. His numbers are exactly the same a Hank's. So ride him while he plays well but ostracizing Hank to try and strong arm him into doing something will not look good for the Rangers.

While I know most fans of other teams, and even NYR fans can't stand him, he seems to be revered by players around the league. How the NYR handle him over the next couple of years will be a mark (good or bad) on the franchise.

I love Hank but, lets be honest, him leaving would be good for the team at the current situation. Plus if Georgie keeps playing the way he has, you are either losing him to Seattle for nothing, or we give them a pick so they don't take him.

In the short term, yes players around the league will view what happens here. However, we've seen many times in many other sports where a team has had to put a guy out to the pasture so to speak. Unless they totally jerk him around, the outrage never really lasts long.

I get that view but it's (frank)ing Hank. He's earned whatever HE decides to do. I don't want him to go unless he wants to. And unless I hate his new team I will be rooting for him to win it all.

No one is saying he hasn't earned it. But you also don't run a team on sentimental value.
