Cant wait until the playoffs. It sucks that the Lightning will have to play the Bruins or Leafs in the second round if they get past the first. Would much rather have the old format, so that we could see the best teams in the East play in the conference finals.

The Lightning deserved the win as they outplayed the Jets. If they meet again in the finals I believe it would be a different game when the Jets have Buff, Morrissey, Morrow and Lowry back in the lineup.

They weren't indifferent, they were tired against the Bruins. Three games in four nights and all to overtime and on a back to back, the Bruins were off the day before.
A few days of rest and you can see the difference.

I find it interesting that you say "Winnipeg was deprived of several important players, but that alone does not explain why they got mauled by the Lightning" but yet when you talk about the specific plays that led to Tampa's first 2 goals the player you mention first on the first goal is Victor Hedman and the player you mention first on the second goal is Ryan McDonaugh. Try replacing those two players with Cal Foote (Sami Niku) and Cameron Guance (Nathan Beaulieu) and see how those two plays may be different.

That being said the Bolts were full value for the win last night, but they were also full value for their loss wence last they played in The Peg.

There is some truth here. I kept thinking to myself - I am glad Big Buff isn't patrolling the ice tonight, or Paquette would get knocked on his arse. LOL.
