Every good team has mini losing streaks. Worry if this extends to over 7/8 games. However I do believe their goalies will be their weakness an the playoffs.

Fun game to watch ... Completely agree on goalie interference call from the standpoint of being able to discern it right away. I thought it was but it only took me 2 views to come to that. 5 minutes is an absurdity -

“If it was so obvious Matthew Tkachuk interfered with the goalie's ability to make a save, it should have taken a few looks at most to reach that conclusion.”

Exactly, how is it goalie interference when the goalie comes to the top of the crease, almost outside, and due to no ones fault but his own, gets his stick under Tkachuk’s armpit which causes his inability to get set for the next shot. And sorry, he made no attempt to get set for a shot,he quickly slid over and Johnny waited and went far side(he should have went short side with an immediate shot as it was wide open). This GI rule really needs to get fixed! It’s gone against the Flames far to often in the last few weeks. What a piss off.

The league loves and Vegas and they love Fleury. Anyone surprised when the call went to review?

That's Fleury's MO, can't stand the guy, never liked him and never will. Really wish BSD went over and called his bluff and socked him a few.

I'd like an explanation on why that was goaltending interference. Didn't look like Tkachuk was in the crease and Fleury seemed to be just as responsible for any contact. BS call.

I guess you can't contribute a decent comment so making childish posts are all you can contribute. Get back to your grade 8 math class.

My bet is on Monahan being injured. He has been a shadow of his former self for at least the last 10 games.

Starting to think that too. If so, they need to rest him asap. Division crown isn't as important as the playoffs.

I'm really frustrated by the state of NHL officiating. They make glaring errors all over the place, not just against the Flames, and I'm willing to forgive the odd one, but it's becoming ludicrous.

I'm still pissed that the Hyman goal counted from the other night when crap like Chucky's is waved off. I'm pissed that Johnny is getting hacked, whacked, cross checked and upended on every other shift and there are no calls. Obvious trips, high sticks and interference calls are being missed left right and centre (not just the Flames).

There's "letting the boys play" and then there's just stupid.

I'm also pissed that, despite all of this, the Flames just don't stand up for one another until an injury occurs. Prout is in the lineup and hasn't fought in nearly a full calendar year, Bennett and Chucky are the only guys that ever really scrap, and Hathaway, as much of a poop disturber as he is, just really isn't much in the way of enforcer or deterrent out there.

Last rant, Flames, shake things up - teams are getting wise to the D pinching, the drop pass on the power play, the general power play setup. They've adapted, it's your turn. And for god sakes, stop looking for the cute play - one or two passes and get it on net.

Yes I can contribute a decent comment, just don't know why you are trolling on a Flames blog and by the way I aced my grade 8 math exam.

Hard to say if he's injured or not I would think if it was serious enough they would take him out of the lineup, hopefully if anything its just the grind and minor wear and tear of the season that is the problem. I hope its nothing to do with the surgeries that he had in the offseason last year.

The last two games were a perfect example of why it's so stupid to look at save% on a game to game basis. Rittich wasn't any better/worse in either of his last two games. He made 36 saves last night, but the majority were shot right at him and there wasn't any weirdness that ruined his Toronto game.

The biggest disappointment with Rittich from last night is that he didn't have a go with Fleury. He's trying to cultivate this persona of a super intense, borderline crazy goalie, but then he ignores that?

As usual, the Flames look better during their losing streaks than they do during their winning streaks. There were a lot more minor problems going on during the seven game win streak than in the last three.

Pretty confident after last night that the Flames should beat the Knights in a seven game series, but that would have to be round two. It's still pretty much impossible for the Flames not to win the West.
