Fist! #gritboners
You’d think if deterrence was a real thing the Penguins should get more out of that 4M. I mean it was the main selling point after all.
Low hanging grit boner shot... but no JJ boner shot this blog. |

Curious, the No Calls for and Phantom calls against the Pens are at a higher level that the norm. Is it me?
Nextly, we all do know that the concept of “deterrent” is a fallicy and one can only deter if the deterrer is on the ice at the time of hit so he can take the hitter to task. Right?
Nice to see Kessel get in the goal column.
Murray still dipping the glove/shoulder...thank goodness the Jackets couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat last night. But all in all decent.

Is the “usual amount” high or is it univesally bad league wide? |

I've been watching a lot of non-Pens games this season. It's league wide. It's very schizophrenic how the refs enforce rules from game to game. You can usually tell what rules the league is stressing, but for most of this season I think the refs are just calling the rules based on score, situation and their internal biases. Not biases against specific teams, but biases as to what they feel an NHL game should look like.
My 2 cents. |

If the Jackets lose to the Pens at home at this stage of the playoff push, stick a fork in em cause they are done! Lets be real here, its gonna be Caps Pens in the second round like it is every year, the winner will win the Stanley Cup, like they do every year...GO CAPS |

I don’t recall Lucic doing anything after Cooke ended Savard’s career. |

I can appreciate that. I have watched some where I have seen similar and prehaps my rooting interests make it seem like it is Penguin specific. Although there have been a ton of dangerous liberties taken, such as the Dumo hit and also the Guentzel hit, on Penguin players where similar hits in Non-Penguin games were dealt with immediately and harshly.
