It is a very slim shot but hopefully they can be middle 6 guys.

Maybe potential trade bait down the road for these two guys ? I hope at least one of them turns into a good signing. At least they're young. Now we have to see if Kenny can actually restrain himself when Free Agency opens in a few months and NOT sign some mediocre veterans with horrible contracts.

In other news the Wings are officially out of the playoffs with their loss to the Habs. Full steam ahead for that top 3 draft pick.

Undrafted college free agents rarely amount to much. DeKeyser is probably one of the very best NHLers to go this route within the last several years in the entire NHL, and he sucks.

That said, I like the signings and think they're a smart move. Doesn't cost you assets or waste a draft pick, you're already pretty confident they'll at least be good AHLers, and if either of them turn into even average-to-below-average NHLers that's a pretty solid win.
