Thanks James. Moving is a PITA but also exciting. Your real penance will come on what I call picture hanging day. Whole day set aside with a hammer and wife going room to room - decorating.
Enjoy your weekend.

Not gonna lie, as a Flames fan, the Coyotes are probably the last team I'd like to see the Flames play in the first round.

Meh, Miller was terrible and the Yotes got two glorious bounces. Reminded me of Anaheim last year. At least they'll finally make the playoffs.

Good thing they didn't tank the season at that point...

It's a pretty good run, one of the better ones in the last few years at least, considering injuries etc. Yotes are playing really well, a lot of credit has to go to coaching and management.

Sabres fan here ... and I'm just posting to say I'm happy for you guys and am rooting for ya. Our sorry-ass franchises have suffered enough and I'm glad one of us is surging and playing well. Hope you make it, good luck !

I'd like to talk more about it, but I'm actually moving and packing, so I just wanted to stop in and write this quick celebration blog!

Perhaps this would be a good time to remind me, once again, how you were better off renting.

LOL

Can’t believe the Flames fan that says the Yotes are the last team he’d like to see in round 1

Dude...you guys would destroy this Coyotes team. They’re average at best. Easy sweep.

I definitely think the Flames are the best team in the West, but first rounds are crazy. One of the biggest issue with the Flames core the last couple of years has been their mental fragility. They're not seasoned playoff regulars yet, and I'm not sure how they'd react being heavy favourites, then losing the first game or two.

Vegas isn't scary.

Easy. I rented a place on 2008 when i was still a student with 1 kid and bad credit. I lived in the same house for 10 years, finished school, had more kids, got a job and for the last several years rent on my little house has been dirt cheap and ive made myself debt free.

Now I'm renting a house that is way nicer than anything I can afford to buy and not be broke a the time.

It has full appliances and bbq, snow blower and lawn mower.

I can afford the rent without stress and am free to leave at a months notice if anything comes up and i can no longer afford it.

I don't ever have to make repairs.

There's no risk and I have money left over at the end of the month which I can save, spend or invest as I see fit.

Well I gotta apologize. I heckled you earlier this season because you said Arizona was a playoff team and I thought they were going to be a basement dweller like every other year. Now here they are, likely to make the playoffs. I am big enough to admit I was wrong. You were right Tanner. I still think they gave up on Domi and Strome too quickly, but they have done well considering I thought they lost those trades.

Who needs home equity, am I right? Accumulating assets and wealth is totally overrated.

From what I understand, Hockeybuzz has a very strong pension plan, so in no way could Mr. Tanner's views on home ownership be viewed as myopic.

CD collections appreciate better than real estate, right?

I guess it was easier to go along with this ridiculous comment other than acknowledge you got completely owned from my previous one.

To be fair, he needs to actually "watch" hockey to qualify his statement in general. But you have to remember that covering arguably the worst managed organization in the NHL, he's not used to "watching"(game highlights) any kind of win streak...

i'm sure he's fine... he's most likely investing in bitcoin, so he's probably got a very diverse portfolio!
