The last 12 months couldn't have played out funnier.

The best team suddenly became a mediocre team that simply got lucky and won the Cup. Their right-place-at-the-right-time coach was fired and is now a shoe in for the Jack Adams, though that award is stupid, because it doesn't actually reward the best coach.

Meanwhile, the NHL points system is also stupid for having 2 and 3 point games, but the Coyotes are, holy cow, a playoff team! (Even though they have benefited more than anyone this year by so-called loser points.) No way they ever could have made up that gap without being awarded 3 points for a regulation win. Wowza.

Oh yeah, and the worst division in the NHL, which has produced the last 3 Cup champs btw, will send 5 teams to the playoffs.

Does anyone take Tanner seriously?

Oh yeah, and while the clearly best team because they have the highest CF% at 5v5 in the NHL is Carolina, those Lightning are pretenders at, pfft, 8th. Losers.

This is really one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this site. How is it a contradiction that I say the NHL points system is terrible (it is) while a team I like benefits?

Like, honestly, what am I supposed to do, boycott the playoffs? Denounce the Coyotes unless they win under a system that doesn't exist?

I mean, dude, get a grip.

Also, I don't want to intrude on this guy's fantasy, but he clearly reads a A LOT of my work. As for the Metro division, it has the most mediocre teams, so of course it has five teams in the Playoffs. If Buffalo didn't have to play Boston, Toronto and Tampa 12 times, but instead played those games against the Islanders, Capitals, and Devils, they'd probably make the playoffs too.

As far as attempts to make fun or, or troll someone on line, this is an absolutely embarrassing attempts. And I think, if there is one topic you actually should take me seriously on, it's this, cause, who would know better?

Tocchet wasn’t going to play Strome and the Coyotes can’t afford to fire Tocchet and keep paying him while also bringing in another coach. Chayka made a smart move by moving assets that weren’t being used for assets that were, gotta keep it past tense since Schmaltz is still out
