Bought an Ibanez Jem a little while ago.

My first guitar with a floyd rose, I need to change the strings again...it's a bit of a pain in the ass.

Oh for sure. That's a great guitar! I have several Ibanez 6-7 string models. Do yourself a favor and change one string at a time (i'm sure you know this), or else the bridge will completely need to be set-up again.

There are also cool tips and shortcuts for blocking the bridge to change tunings, string gauges etc.. It really takes the stigma away from owning/working on a floyd rose floating tremolo.

If you have any issues i can try and dig up some helpful videos for you.

YES! There's another guy that made me work my ass off on guitar! That's how i learned to use my pinch harmonics and manipulate the guitar to make noises without a Digitech Whammy pedal that he uses to get all of those high notes and weird noises!

Can't beat those first 2 albums of theirs!! Good call.

Always room to improve as it's a lifelong thing for me. Unfortunately life takes over and i can't sit in my room and practice for 12 hours a day anymore. I can still do some damage tho!

I miss being on stage and on tour, but still have great memories and the opportunity to form bands and play.
