Do you think every time Lou sees Garth hanging around the office, he wants to go over and slap him silly. For the Ladd deal alone. Never mind everything else he did or didn't do for 12 years. Just for Ladd.

I would assume he wants to stake him out in the desert, cover him with honey and let the ants, gila monsters, rattlers, coyotes and mountain lions do their thing. Maybe that's just me though.

What's funny is Lou actually likes Garth. Garth hired his son so he has zero issues with him at all... He doesn't let him do anything anymore but does not dislike him.

Ledecky from what I hear fken hates him.

I know they're buddies. Let me dream, man!

It makes sense that Ledecky despises him. At least 75% of the fan base hates him.

Appears my old man picked the right night to have a birthday so I didn't have to watch that abortion

And that's just off the top of my head. Imagine what I could come up with if I put some thought into it.

Sometimes I think Lou trained Garth in giving out bad contracts.

I think if Boychuk's hurt, they should say that so sitting him makes even the slightest bit of sense. Ability-wise he's definitely not their best d-man, but he's a physical, lead-by-example guy back there who's played in many games that matter at this time of year. I think it's at least a step in the right direction getting him back in the lineup asap.

They could also use a big game from either Lehner or Greiss. A big save that shouldn't be made at a key point early in a game would probably settle the team down a bit.

Outside of that, it's really on the forwards to stop making dainty passes to no one through the middle of the ice and to get pucks and bodies to the front of the net. I don't think Dal Colle's the answer up front by any means, but he goes to the net. Maybe put him in for one of these cute-pass perimeter guys for a game or two and see if it moves the needle in the right direction.

Bring Snow too and you've got a deal. He should be easy to trick.

edit -- In fairness -- and I'll almost always defend Barzal as a player and with respect to the effort he puts in game in and game out -- but he was terrible last night, too. Flubbing the puck at the blue line, slow coming back after giveaways because he stayed out too long, etc. He was visibly frustrated and it turned his game to shat.

The turnovers last night were brutal.Still cutting back to the blue line and giving up the puck.

We seemed to have forgotten the Basic dump and chase style that got us to the top of the standings. Awful.

Trotz said after the game that a few guys "went off on their own program".

That's what price did on eberle. If he doesn't make that amazing save its 2 1 instead the habs score 1 minute later and it was all over

No question, the goalies' mediocre play has been a partial cause of this recent slide.

Yep, they're not scoring along with everyone else on the team. They need to step up their game and put up some points.

I hope Johnston punched Ladd right in his facking face after that game last night. For that piece of sh*t to just sit there and do nothing after Mayfield got blasted is a facking disgrace. If I was the GM I would have Ladd on waivers in the next 25 minutes. Facking coward
